About
Puzzle Moment brings a fresh set of puzzles every day, made for calm play. No animations, no clock breathing down your neck, no notifications begging for attention. Just you and the puzzle.
The app is designed for e-ink screens such as the Boox, but works just as well on a regular device. High contrast, large touch targets and discrete steps for zooming and panning.
Puzzle types:
- Classic Sudoku, from 4x4 to 12x12. Difficulty is set by the solving technique you need, not by how many digits you are given.
- Sudoku X. The classic rules plus one extra: each digit appears exactly once on both diagonals.
- Killer Sudoku. No given digits; the cages with sum totals show the way.
- Binary puzzle (takuzu). Fill the grid with zeros and ones, keep them balanced and avoid three alike in a row.
- Nonogram. Colour the squares by the numbers next to the rows and columns. Get it right and a picture appears.
- Futoshiki. Place each digit once per row and column; the signs between squares show greater and smaller.
- Hitori. Shade the right squares so no number stays white twice in a row or column.
- Kakuro. A crossword of sums: fill digits so every run adds up to its clue number.
- Tectonic. Fill each block with the digits 1 up to its size; equal digits never touch, not even diagonally.
- Number search. Cross out the digit sequences; the leftover digits form the final code.
- Number path. Reach the target numbers by laying a path across digits and plus and minus signs.
- Word maker. Make as many words as you can from the given letters. Longer words and pangrams earn more points, and you climb through the levels.
- Word search. Every word can be found exactly once; the leftover letters spell the solution word.
- Fill-in. Solve the clues; cells sharing a number share a letter, and the highlighted column spells the solution word.
- Arrowword. A crossword with its clues inside the grid; little arrows point to where each answer starts.
- Knight's jump. Jump along the eight letters like a chess knight and find the hidden word.
- Codebreaker. A crossword without clues: every number stands for a letter, and you crack the code.
- Crossword. The classic: fill the answers to the clues into the grid, across and down.
Games:
- Tents and Trees. Pitch exactly one tent next to every tree; tents never touch, and the numbers along the edge count the tents per row and column.
- Klondike solitaire. The classic card game; every daily deal is checked beforehand and truly winnable.
- Sliding puzzle. Slide the tiles into order using the empty space.
- Peg solitaire. The peg board: jump pegs over each other until exactly one remains.
- Mahjong solitaire. Find the free pairs and clear the stack tile by tile; you can never get stuck.
New puzzles arrive every day, and the word puzzles follow a daily theme. Play offline; your progress is saved and syncs automatically once you are connected again. No account, no email address, just your device.
Today's puzzles are free every day. Want more? Puzzle Moment Extra unlocks the archive of earlier days, unlimited practice with extra number puzzles, a place on every puzzle's leaderboard (watching is always free), linking multiple devices so your progress stays in sync everywhere, and two weeks of upcoming puzzles downloaded to your device, enough for a whole holiday without internet.
Accessibility is built in, not bolted on: adjustable text size, zoomable boards and full screen-reader support.
