Puzzle Moment gives you new puzzles every day on iPhone and iPad: sudokus, Klondike, FreeCell, Draughts and around thirty other puzzles and games. The design is calm, with strong contrast and large buttons, and there are no ads. The board lies on the page like a sheet of paper, and what you fill in takes the game's colour. Under Look you choose New or Classic, the earlier look, and under Board games you can also pick Real material: wood, green felt, the blue frame of Connect Four or the water of Sea Battle. The clock runs for the leaderboard but only appears on screen if you want it to. One toggle switches animations off. Number puzzles Classic Sudoku comes in seventeen variants every day, from 4ร4 to 12ร12. There are also Sudoku X, Killer Sudoku, Binary Sudoku, Nonogram, Kakuro (sums in a grid), Number Search and Number Path. - Futoshiki, with greater-than and less-than signs between the squares. - Hitori: shade squares until no number shows twice in a row or column. - In Tectonic every block holds the digits 1 up to its size. - Fleet Review is Sea Battle as a logic puzzle. In Rain Well you work out the height of the walls from the rainwater between them. The computer has checked every logic puzzle in advance. You never need to guess. Cards and board games In Klondike Solitaire and FreeCell the computer has played every daily deal through beforehand, so each one can be won. In Crazy Eights you choose one to three computer opponents. Draughts (on a 10ร10 board), Nine Men's Morris, Mancala, Connect Four, Reversi and Sea Battle are against the computer too, and the more stars, the stronger it plays. Other games Mahjong Solitaire, Peg Solitaire, Sliding Puzzle, Tents and Trees, Memory, Tower of Hanoi, Lights Out, Secret Code, Merge (2048), Pipes, Block Pop, the Dice Game and Chess Puzzle, with a mate in one or two every day. In Way Out you slide blocks aside until the marked one can leave. In Order is a game of our own: the numbers arrive one at a time and you place them in a grid that has to keep ascending. Word puzzles There are no English word puzzles at the moment. The puzzle language is a separate setting, though, so if you read Dutch, German, French, Spanish or Polish you can switch. Dutch has Word Search, Fill-In, Knight's Jump, Word Maker and Letter Grid; the other four have all of those except Fill-In. Word Maker and Letter Grid are free in full, leaderboard included. What is free Today's puzzles are always free. The Dice Game, Crazy Eights, Draughts, Nine Men's Morris, Mancala, Connect Four and Reversi are not tied to a day: start a new game as often as you like, no Extra needed. Puzzle Moment Extra Extra is a monthly subscription. It opens the puzzles of earlier days, lets you practise with as many extra number puzzles and games as you like and puts you on the leaderboards. Anyone can look at those. My records keeps your best times and scores, and linked devices share your progress. The next two weeks of puzzles are stored on your device ahead of time. The subscription is charged to your Apple ID and renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You cancel it in your Apple ID settings, under Subscriptions. Without a connection you carry on with whatever is already on your device, and your progress goes to the server once you are back online. You do not need an account or an email address, only a screen name. Text size goes from 85% to 175% and boards can be zoomed. If the selected square is hard to see, give it a thicker outline. Squares and buttons are labelled for screen readers.
