Thank you for your review. Sigh…I love it when the app gets the blame. So...the background refresh rate is controlled by iOS/WatchOS. As a former OS developer, I have done everything in my power to have my app update as close to the theoretical maximum allowed by iOS/WatchOS which is 3-4 background updates per hour (every 15-20 minutes). Background updates at 5=10 minute intervals are technically not possible and not allowed. And then, there's the issue of how often background updates can be displayed in a widget or Watch complication. The maximum allowed widget update rate is 70 updates per day which works out to a maximum average of one update every 34 minutes. But again, it’s up to the OS - not the app- to decide when to update. Getting background updates to work at all is not easy which is why there are no other PWS apps that even try. But please don't dock me a star when I've done everything in my power to mitigate the limitations imposed on my app by policies over which I have no control. The fact that you’re getting regular updates is a minor miracle. If you would like to provide some feedback regarding background update policies, you may consider the source.
