Excellent tech weather report

I was impressed anyway in my home town Bournemouth with all the reports but was surprised and pleased that on holiday in Spain it gave me Alicante reports too. Really good app

Thank you so much!

Very good pws app

A very good app to monitor your home weather station. My main need was to be able to monitor from my Apple Watch and it does the trick! The notifications are a plus too. The important part of any product is the customer support and I had a minor problem in the first week and it was solved quickly! The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5th star is I wish the auto update/refresh was more frequent (like 5-10 mins instead of 15-25 mins). That said, I recommend this app! :)

Response from developer

Thank you for your review. Sigh…I love it when the app gets the blame. So...the background refresh rate is controlled by iOS/WatchOS. As a former OS developer, I have done everything in my power to have my app update as close to the theoretical maximum allowed by iOS/WatchOS which is 3-4 background updates per hour (every 15-20 minutes). Background updates at 5=10 minute intervals are technically not possible and not allowed. And then, there's the issue of how often background updates can be displayed in a widget or Watch complication. The maximum allowed widget update rate is 70 updates per day which works out to a maximum average of one update every 34 minutes. But again, it’s up to the OS - not the app- to decide when to update. Getting background updates to work at all is not easy which is why there are no other PWS apps that even try. But please don't dock me a star when I've done everything in my power to mitigate the limitations imposed on my app by policies over which I have no control. The fact that you’re getting regular updates is a minor miracle. If you would like to provide some feedback regarding background update policies, you may consider the source. Thank you for reconsidering your review :)

Nice - clean and uncluttered

Thanks for this app. It has all the useful metrics and is uncluttered. Also like the METAR and TAF. Well done.

Response from developer

Thank you! And all suggestions for improvements of suggested changes are welcome.

Do not use

I downloaded the App and went premium and put the nearest station to me which was 4 miles away! I tried to put it on my Iwatch and even turned my iPhone and Iwatch on and off 2 times but my Iwatch kept saying I had not subscribed. I am uninstalling the app after this message as it does not work. 🤬🤬🤬

Um, you could have sent me an email and we could have worked out whatever the issue was before you just went ahead and flamed me with a one-star review. I respond to all of my question/support email and do special beta version to work through any issues that may require core changes. I provide this app for my own use and for the enjoyment of others in the weather station community. If you actually want to be helpful, please email me at info@bogbridges.com and I will be happy to help you.

Rocks great

This app is awesome and is worth it a lot. I just need to figure out how to keep it live without restart or whatnot the widget.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review! The widgets are designed to continuously auto-update (something I rely upon for my own use), so if that's not happening for you, please email me at info@bogbridges.com to figure out the issue.

I love the widget

Makes it super easy to see the data from my weather station at a glance

Idioma en español

La app esta muy completa pero falta el idioma en español

Genial

Muy completa

Sencillez y eficacia

App que tiene su verdadera utilidad en las buenas complicaciones para el Apple Watch.

Nice app, needs advanced graphics

Ok app

Exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Thank you for making this app. No clutter, all the data points I want.

One suggestion: when scrolling the charts of past weather, if you could code in what timestamp I’m currently viewing with the yellow bar, that would be amazing.

Love this app

Gives all the data from my Ambient station in a neat and concise manner and best of all it makes all the data available on my Apple Watch.

Best App for Apple Watch

For reading data from your personal weather station, I found this app is the easiest to read data and it updates the complications much faster than any of the other apps.

It works

The app does its job very nicely. It seems to collect data accurately and quickly. Three things. Integration was not easy. The app does not resize to fit the device. The only size available is for an iPhone. Although the display is pretty, it is less informative than the PWS website.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure which device the app is not resizing for? And as you note, this app is NOT a substitute for your own weather station's website/app, and it is not trying to reinvent the wheel. As a serious weather station owner, I wrote this app to address key things that were missing. First and foremost, Watch and iPhone widget support. I wanted to be able to glance at my Watch or iPhone and see what was happening with my station. Second, I wanted to get iPhone/Watch notifications for station conditions...like if it was below a certain temperature. Third, I wanted to see my station's history for past days, moths, and years regardless of what type of weather station I was using. Fourth, I wanted different visualizations for weather than I was seeing. I wanted visuals that were both simple to understand yet didn't lose accuracy. I also wanted to support folks who had multiple weather stations, and I recently added NOAA/ICAO weather station conditions and forecasts. So if none of those things are a factor for you, this app is probably not a great fit, so keep on keeping on with your native weather station site/app :)

Cool bananas

All good in the hood

Great app

The best app I have found for viewing my and other PES data, including week and daily views.

Payant

App pas mal mais l’historique est payant

Response from developer

I'm sorry you don't want to pay the very small amount for the station history feature that no other app like mine has. Unlike others, all versions of my app are ad-free, meaning zero revenue for the app without the Premium option. Not everything can be free - sorry! I’m trying to cover the costs of the app. Hopefully you think that the pennies per moth are worth all the extra features.
