This is Windows software on a Mac. It’s a ugly app. QNAP look at the Bear notes app in the AppStore. Copy it and store the data in a directory that can be backed up on the NAS.

Works, but only online
Cannot create an offline note, always trying to connect not allowing to create a note. When connection is established, works somewhat ok. Sometimes crashes. Minor usability issues as well. If all those addressed should be a good app.

Is this supposed to work on iPhone? Even the link to your support throws a 404 error so what should be expected from the rest of the app?
On iPhone Bizarre App - to see the “menu” at the top of the screen you need to drag the screen UPWARDS unlike most Apps which either leave it visible or use drag DOWNWARDS. To make changes you hit the “pencil in the square” thing why there isn’t a more usual New, Update and Save is beyond me.There is no SAVE after making changes you need to hit the “tick”. As i say totally unintuitive and bizarre.

Literally doesn’t work
Have not been able to get it to work on my iPad. It says it synced, shows the title of the notes but the pages are blank. They never display anything. Great job qnap. Thinking qnap wasn’t the right choice for me.

Don't bother at the moment
While I think the idea is wonderful to use it in place of something like apple notes and keep your data secure, in reality the app is sub par. Its got all the feature you want, just none of them actually work! Like check boxes, formatting. Even using it connected on my local network its slow...very slow. To the point it doesn't sync correctly between updating on web app and phone. The web app is also way too slow compared to something like googles keep or microsoft notes. The developers need to fix this one.

Great update today but...
All I need is aomethng like the chrome clipper for websites to have a similar version in the mobile app. So I can save webpages on my phone!!

Worst program
Don’t use it unless you don’t care of your data to loose it
Nice app on QNAP
I like the ease of use for this app as I am looking to replace Evernote with something on premise. I am able to get this working and access it from the internet thanks to the cloud access.
Beyond that this app is very comparable to one note from Microsoft.
My one complaint are:
1) there’s is no zoom and pinch. It’s very difficult to use this app on a small screen. I can change it to landscape and there’s no pinch to zoom.
2) theres no “select all” when you try to copy text

Clunky and Limited
Disturbing clunky text input. No way to add images (except from camera) or attachments
Useless
This app needs a lot of work! Notes do not sync with other notebooks, so pretty much renders this useless. Even tried reinstalling the app with same result.
Please add full functionality of server app
The notes3 app may become useful. Please would you add the full functionality to it as with the server app. The ipad is more than capable of anything that the server app can do. I note that the writers of ‘Notability’ have gone the other way round in making the ipad app more capable than the macOS version. Again this is a limiting direction for me.
This may be a promising app but currently it is severely limited and from my point of view unnecessarily so.

Love the app needs improvement/update
About half the time the app works. If you are on the go and use this app in different locations, the app cannot reconnect which is very annoying. I have to go into settings, log out and log back in for it to connect properly. Also the app is limited to word editing then the app on the Qnap. For instance I couldn't find where I can change the size of my font for wording. Small detail but needs improvement. I hope it's gets updated soon I'd still love to use it.
