App not safe to use
As a parent who works in cyber security, I do not trust this app’s third party identity provider, GBG PLC, with my ID or my child’s information. Giving our personal government IDs to a company that processes that information in multiple different countries is a huge risk and we are being sold to the highest bidder.

Glitchy and unreliable
If the Dept want ms parent to use this app, fix it. It glitches or freezes so often, especially if trying to open it more than once a day. Incredibly frustrating.

Please fix. The app is zoomed in so much it’s it unusable.
Absence page is not working
This year I tried many times to use the notify of absence. When it went to put in absence details. It wouldn’t let me and just frozen then the app closed off itself. I need to message to the school directly.
Not fit for purpose
Not sure of the investment by the Queensland government into this application, but it is possibly one of the worst I’ve ever used. It’s lumbering doesn’t respond and needs to re-launching all the time and it’s certainly nothing to do with my device. Another government decision and waste of money forcing people app apps attempting to streamline processes and it’s just not fit for purpose terrible

App is unusable. Go to website. Waste of time
This is the worst app I’ve used in a long time. Trying to put in an absence using the app on your phone is a nightmare. Everything is enlarged and you have to constantly scroll to see anything. It’s been over a month and no one has bothered to fix it. Another great government initiative!
Non- mobile responsive app
The app is not opening properly on the Phone and pages are not fitting on To the screen .
Latest Update
Latest update has made the app useless. Everything is zoomed in and difficult to use. Desktop version is not always possible for everyone.
App is almost unusable now
Not sure what changed but the app is even less intuitive than it used to be, even logging in is now painful. The screen resizes to such a zoomed in state and will not resize so completing any function is very difficult. This is basic app design capabilities to manage the form factor but it seems this could not have been tested on actual mobile devices before being released. If this was a school assignment it would get a D or E

App zoomed in issue
After the last update, the app is zoomed in permanently and makes it very difficult to use. To the point of it being unusable.
Unusable
As others have written, the app is now unusable. It zooms in once logged in, you can’t see the full screen or buttons. I have deleted and am using the website login.
Impossible to use
The latest update has the app zooming in after the app opens and it isn’t possible to zoom back out. Can’t access buttons on the edges. Can’t read screens properly as too zoomed in. Now a completely useless app.
What’s with the latest update?
What happened in this latest “update”? The app used to work perfectly fine and with this new update the screen randomly zooms in when selecting a child which makes it very difficult to navigate, it feels like it’s not optimised for a mobile screen. Please fix it!
Great concept, but don’t upload your ID to a third party
Part of the setup process requires you to upload 100 points of ID to a third party.
We’ve seen this story before, I don’t trust some random lowest-bidder third party that our government contracted with to store our government ID. This app is not safe, and no one should use it

Clunky and hard to use
Screen is way to zoomed in and can’t be zoomed out.

I can’t even get access to my child’s accounts. The school has said that the request has been approved but it’s not working on my side 🤦♀️🤦♀️ really need it fixed
Obviously isn’t tested before release
There’s literally nothing the app can do that you can’t do with the QParents page in browser.
But the staggering issue in this app is, the more you do, e.g. notify of an absence, the more zoomed in it becomes until it is completely unusable.
How can there not be a quality control or software tester team actively testing this app?

Hard to use. App not compatible with iPhone

Also, the school sent me an unexplained absence text for an absence I’d already put into the app. What’s the point if they don’t check it?

Extremely poor design
They have basically just encapsulated the web page in the app skeleton. There is no device responsiveness implemented. So it seems like built in hurry. Someone just warped it up in the app and deployed to App Store. Pls put in the effort to build an actual app as this would be used by parents across the state.
