Needs longer delay to prevent cheating

Too bad…this app (and a custom Google sheet we created) had the potential to revolutionize the way we track laps in our PE classes. But the delay of 10 seconds is not long enough to prevent cheating with our setup. I like the developer’s philosophy of “keep it simple” but he doesn’t want to add an option for a longer timeout between scans…so we will (and our entire district) be using a much more complicated and costly solution. If you are a teacher that can stand right next to your device all period and police the scan then this might work. We need to be a little more interactive with our classes so being a scanner “police” doesn’t fit in with our teaching philosophy.

Help!

I have loved this app, but today I accidentally hit delete on my running lap count for my students😭. Is there ANY way to recover my numbers?

Homeschool Gym & Mileage Club

We used this app to track laps for our mileage club. Simplified the process for us. Thank you!

Elem PE

Perfect for elementary PE programs. I use it for mile club and the kids love it!

QR Codes

I am no longer able to create QR code’s. The site says it is forbidden.

I Need Help

I have used this app a lot and have enjoyed it, but this week when I went to create QR code’s it tells me the URL is not available. How do I fix this?

Email not working

I love this concept. Yes it would be nice to add a time element so that we could track speeds as well however I am more frustrated that it will not let me email results. Emailing is an option however when I go to do this, the send button stays grayed out and won’t let me press...

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. The export of data via email currently only works with the standard email app. The app must be set up. To integrate a time measurement the app could be combined with the QR Stopwatch app. But then you need two devices.

Missing a timer for PE & Mile Times

I love what this developer has to offer, but it’s missing the capability of timing the laps. In 5th grade, we time our students for the mile. While lap counting is important, it’d be great to combine the QR Stopwatch & QR Laps for all our teaching needs. Please and thank you! 🙏🏼

Response from developer

Thank you very much for the feedback. Since we keep our apps simple and easy to use, this would be an idea for a separate app. Because the same QR code is used for laps and time, the app would be complex. Until then, the only solution is to combine the QR Laps with the QR Stopwatch app on two devices.

Back Up

Using this App in an Educational environment and it is great except for two very important design flaws. If these could be fixed with an update the app would be exceptional.
1. There is no backup function. Whilst you can export data, the chances of someone hitting the delete button in a school environment is high. I live in fear of this as we use it to grab cumulative data on laps run in a fitness club
2. This is exasperated by the need to click every lap to enter retrospective data. So if a runner starts with 895 laps, you have to click every one of this laps. Now multiply this be 100 runners. Surely there would be a straight number entry or import function. Hence the fear of deletion after obtaining a very sore entry thumb.
Simple to fix a couple of real obvious ones and make it a 5 star app

Response from developer

Thanks for the great feedback and your ideas. The app was designed to be used on one day at a time. If you want to work with it over a longer period of time, the fear of loss is understandable. At least the results can be exported as csv.

Needs work

Paid and downloaded, nice concept except that it does not scan codes quickly. I found that you have to have the QR code completely still and centered on the scanner which is hard for my younger students. This slows down the running times and students get back up at the scanning station. At this point it is not useful for me in the class room.

Response from developer

Thank you very much for the feedback. The scanning speed depends on various factors: lighting conditions, camera version, distance of the code to the camera.

Not there yet!

You need to combine this with the stopwatch...I need to be able to keep track of laps/distance and time for my PE classes.

Response from developer

Many thanks for the feedback and the idea, which we also like very much.
