REVIEW LINKS BEFORE OPENING Scanned links are never opened automatically. You can review the destination first, then choose whether to open, copy, or share it. The app also checks links on-device for structural risk signals such as unusual formatting and look-alike characters. These checks are informational and do not guarantee that a website is safe. PRODUCT AND FOOD INFORMATION Scan a supported product barcode to search for available product information through the Open Facts databases. Depending on the available data, product results may include: • Product name and image • Brand and category • Weight or quantity • Ingredients • Allergens • Energy and calories • Fat and saturated fat • Carbohydrates and sugars • Fiber • Protein • Salt and sodium • Nutri-Score and NOVA group Information availability and accuracy depend on the relevant third-party database. Product lookup requires an internet connection, while ordinary QR and barcode scanning continues on the device. PRODUCT PHOTO AND TEXT RECOGNITION When a product does not have a readable barcode, take a photo of its packaging or select an existing image. The app first checks the image for a QR code or barcode. If no code is found, text recognition runs on your device and creates editable product search terms. Possible matching products are displayed for you to review. The app never selects a product automatically; you choose the correct match before viewing its available ingredients or nutrition information. If no matching product is found, you can edit the search terms, search the web, copy the recognized text, or share it. SCAN FROM YOUR PHOTOS Choose an existing image containing a QR code, barcode, product label, or ordinary text.
