What’s hoping to use this little extender to extend my network but unfortunately, it does not work. I’m not sure if it’s outdated or what’s wrong with it, but I ended up having to throw it in the garbage because the software doesn’t never connect to that and it’s just worthless.

The book tells me download the app and the app doesn’t show any prices by clicking it it charges you before telling you that it has a cost. I paid for garbage D-Link and I am sorry for D-Link that it didn’t improve by giving it a second chance after 12 years and I don’t think I come back for it again

The app is garbage and crashes before you’re even able to get anything done and the product doesn’t even work. You’re going to return it and get a refund what a waste of time and money
Be Persistent
Ok so initially I thought this app was crap- I’ve been trying everything to re-set up my router after inserting the paper clip into the back to restore it to factory. I don’t have a laptop or Ethernet cable so my options were to do it wirelessly or via the app. It did not work on my iPhone 11 after several failed attempts at discovering the network. I downloaded the app onto my iPad mini thanks to personal hotspot, and it actually worked and I got the wifi network set up within 3 minutes. It was pretty easy and flawless once the app worked. Be persistent with it and make sure your settings are allowing the app to connect to the local network. I would still like to see Dlink make this app more user friendly, and be able to use it for more like managing the network and connections etc.

What kind of GARBAGE is this
This app is 100% garbage and dosent work.. every time I run the app and enter my password I get wrong password message. I can slowly type the password letter by letter number by number with my router in my hand looking at the password and username of my router and still wrong password 🤷♂️ wdf kind of garbage did I spend my money on when I bought this retard dlink router

Worked for me
I had no problems using the app to set up the wi-fi range extender (DAP-1530). Now I get a useable signal in my backyard.

This is the worst app to ever come into existence. Don’t use this garbage, it is completely useless.

I’m pretty sure the negative reviews are just people who can’t follow instructions. Worked perfectly for me. So far, no problems with the extender either.

Excellent (READ ALL)
For anyone asking it is not the app works flawlessly it is the unit itself if your having connectivity issues press reset on the unit uninstall the app and re download it hat will reset the memory of the unit and give you a fresh start if it still doesn’t work it probably is your wifi speed or the router could have issues I have had no issues and I’m new to the app it was very easy to set up!!

Unable to make the this baby work!
The app appears to be wonky - can’t seem to get it to go past the first page. As well, my dual band range extender seems to mess up my regular wifi. Super frustrating - only positive is that I have a good excuse to drink a glass of wine now...
Don’t buy from Dlink
The app no longer works for my extender and tells me to use the Dlink wifi app which also does not work for my product. After spending hours with tech support I opted to throw out the extender. Terrible product and support.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I followed the exact instructions that came with the product, and the app worked perfectly. My wifi extender is running as it should.

The app accomplishes exactly what it says in the description. That isn't a bad thing but a little extra functionality like router monitoring or a way to adjust settings would have been nice.
Too glitchy
I managed to set-up p/w, etc, but i can't get past the set-up process; it goes around & around every time i open the app. It reboots the router, then returns to set-up and starts again.
