Poor UI and untrustworthy

The music is good, but the user interface is poor in my opinion. It’s not helped by the ‘help’ information, which is either incomplete or inaccurate. For instance, to get to My Playlists you now have to go through Select+, but on at least one video My Playlists is described as being on the main menu. To make matters worse, there seem to be bugs in the playlists feature. I spent a long time setting up playlists yesterday, only to find today that they’d quite disappeared, replaced by some old playlists from last October. What I’ve learned is - I don’t trust it.

Great for performace but

a missed opportunity for practise. You can loop parts of a song to practise BUT you can't save it as a favourite and come back to it, you have to redo it everytime you start the app. Setting the loop isn't easy either, its really fiddly. Having to pay extra for things like instrumentation choices though...come on...

Gute Musik schlecht programmiert

Best quality backing tracks and great resource

This is an incredibly useful tool for practising my saxophone skills. The quality of the sound is unbelievably good, it’s exactly like practicing with a world class quartet, in my own practice room. It’s like Aebersold on steroids. Also useful for performing too and I can’t believe you get 150 world class tracks for such a great price, it’s amazing. What’s not to love!

Awesome sound but there are improvements to make

There is a world of difference between Ireal and Quartet app sound wise. But the sad part is that 1- we have to be connected to internet in order to change the instruments, it would be nice to have the possibility to download everything and 2- we cannot choose only 1 instrument at a time (only bass, only drums, only sax…). It’s a pity because as already said, it’s a cool app with cool sounds !

What are the key features of this jazz play-along app?

Key features include 150 exclusive live jazz standard recordings, the ability to mute your instrument, on-the-fly key changes, tempo adjustment, section looping for practice, and full-screen animated chord diagrams for piano, guitar, and ukulele.
