Great app but recent update unusable

When playing through AirPlay, the playback stutters in the latest version. This wasn’t an issue in previous versions.

Brilliant! But!

Why did they change the look? Preferred the original chords look which was softer on the eyes. Looks like iReal pro which I dislike for its look. If it ain’t broke why try to fix it?

Great Update

The update really hits the spot. I like the ability to have seperate mixes for each repeat. This allows me to work on comping and soloing back to back and simulates playing live quite well. The PDF print out is great for jams. I understand why there is no edit function like the competition but the quality of the backing and the now large number of tunes makes up for that. I’d to see more practice “tunes” if possible. Dare I say It? you could use this in a live situation. Perhaps as an add-on you could add ( or sell) separately, transcriptions of the guitar a sax parts?

Great for performace but

The new chord font are so big (child abc book size) and jarring to look like a sea of letters and numbers.
Really confusing. If it aint broken dont fix it. A missed opportunity for practise. You can loop parts of a song to practise BUT you can't save it as a favourite and come back to it, you have to redo it everytime you start the app. The interface in genral needs to be looked at by a U.I designer.

My Go-To App to Practice My Improv

I use these apps (all 6) daily and love to play with a “real” band.
I like to download the Quartet and listen to the soloist to learn new ideas.
The intros are interesting and I like the chords and rhythm choices of each song.
I like having the capability of transposing songs and changing tempos.

In the future it would be great to have only one app instead of 6.
Also it would be nice to have a button to select trio or quartet and to be able to set the soloist to play only on the repeat.
Also a more intuitive way to access playlists.
I downloaded the latest versions and the updates are nice and working well.
I also use iReal Pro and Band in a Box and right now this is my go to app.
I highly recommend it!

Super!

Tous les Quartets ont évolué avec la possibilité de mix des instruments et une lecture plus traditionnelle et confortable des grilles ! Je recommande l’appli .C’est super ! Bravo.

Great app

The best of its class, better value for money than the subscription models, and sounds so much better than iReal pro, easier to use than the PE apps, responsive developers and regular updates, the latest is a gamechanger. A must have

Very good

Really good app but needs more modern works
from people like Coltrane, Hancock, Henderson etc,.

Poor UI and untrustworthy

The music is good, but the user interface is poor in my opinion. It’s not helped by the ‘help’ information, which is either incomplete or inaccurate. For instance, to get to My Playlists you now have to go through Select+, but on at least one video My Playlists is described as being on the main menu. To make matters worse, there seem to be bugs in the playlists feature. I spent a long time setting up playlists yesterday, only to find today that they’d quite disappeared, replaced by some old playlists from last October. What I’ve learned is - I don’t trust it.

a missed opportunity for practise. You can loop parts of a song to practise BUT you can't save it as a favourite and come back to it, you have to redo it everytime you start the app. Setting the loop isn't easy either, its really fiddly. Having to pay extra for things like instrumentation choices though...come on...

Needs fixing

Regular abrupt stops, locks up frequently, sudden endings. it started out decent enough but has deteriorated over the past few weeks. Please fix it. Because there some good quality sounds. Would not recommend until it gets fixed.

Gute Musik schlecht programmiert

Best quality backing tracks and great resource

This is an incredibly useful tool for practising my saxophone skills. The quality of the sound is unbelievably good, it’s exactly like practicing with a world class quartet, in my own practice room. It’s like Aebersold on steroids. Also useful for performing too and I can’t believe you get 150 world class tracks for such a great price, it’s amazing. What’s not to love!

Awesome sound but there are improvements to make

There is a world of difference between Ireal and Quartet app sound wise. But the sad part is that 1- we have to be connected to internet in order to change the instruments, it would be nice to have the possibility to download everything and 2- we cannot choose only 1 instrument at a time (only bass, only drums, only sax…). It’s a pity because as already said, it’s a cool app with cool sounds !

Great material

Love the app and music.

How about some organ trio tunes?

Super Jazz Playbacks - Super Service!

Phantastische Playbacks mit guter App Bedienung!
Klasse Service. Bei Fragen rasche Antworten und Hilfe !

Accords

Attenuate!

Nice tracks, but wish I could lower the output vol in the app. Like set a max limit.

Très bien mais des problèmes à régler !!

Son fantastique, mais ne pas pouvoir séparer la batterie et la basse comme dans IReal ni ne pouvoir régler le volume de chaque piste est vraiment embêtant

Good app but

Good instrumentalists and fun to play with but …
For an unknown reason all my edits, ie: key changes, metronome changes and instruments selections were wiped out. Also on Gentle Rain I can’t put it into A minor which is how I play it and it used to be in Quartet as A minor. Haven’t had a chance to check everything else out.
