Great Game

Great game in a great series

5 Star quality game that keeps you thinking.

Once again and as ever Spiderweb Software has woven an intriguing tale.

It’s always had the best rpg’s since Avernum was Exile. I loved Exile and a lot of the basic gameplay and incredibly involved world of which you are a part unfolds around you. The story takes part in your imagination more than on screen although it is very easy to play and to enjoy visually. It doesn’t waste memory in fancy visuals. What you get instead is world. It is a joy to play on the iPad.

Some TIPS if anyone is interested:

your actions DO matter in this one.

Play the first one first and enter the code so this game mentions it. Lovely touch! I enjoyed that.

Save your game before you tell Miranda about your governor choices and do it later in the game when you’ve done your missions.

* SPOILERS! (MILD ONES - DISCUSSION RE ENDING OPTIONS)

Specifically QW2 was hard on the soul. I liked the rewards and consequences of my choices in QW1 and others better. You can’t please everyone in this trilogy but I was deeply saddened by the events that I couldn’t control. I wanted a better ending. I ended up very disappointed and a bit disgusted with this vassal. Much more so than I was in Sacramentum. I saved strategically thank goodness so it wasn’t too much effort to play a few end scenarios. None gave me a full sense of satisfaction which I would have liked from such a long, involved epic that literally put my real life on hold. I worried that the wonderful devs may have given just a little bit too many moral choices without good consequences. Being able to hire the Geld Nas would’ve solved some issues, or at least asking the raasas to trust me and actually doing some sacking of incompetents from a position of influence. Tbh I had a lot of frustration with the narrowness of my role and the lack of respect despite all my efforts. Nevertheless I thoroughly loved the game and recommend it. It had an effect on me which means it certainly got under my skin and utterly and successfully absorbed me.

Oh and hey - why no squeaky cute spiders in this one! :(

Can’t wait for Queen’s Wish: 3

Played both games, now I can’t wait for the release of part 3, I just hope it won’t take too long. It’s a nice games overall, definitely an improvement from the first game. Although I really didn’t like the fact that they added a level cap fixed at 23. Pretty low if you ask me, hope the programmer will raise it to at least 30 for the next game.

Plays Great on iPhone!

Don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity. This is the work of a master game designer. The world is expertly crafted - comparable to reading a great fantasy novel. I recommend playing QW1 first. This sequel is a bit darker, and your decisions are tougher.
