Very motivating app! One request...

This is a simple but very motivating app. I have one feature request though. I like using it the way that it is intended (whereby kids figure out via process of elimination where the star is), but I also like to use it in a slightly different way.

I have each child say something an item and then put it in the toybox, hoping that they get lucky and find the star. I have kids working on everything from articulation skills to categorizing, to analogies, etc. One of the reasons I like using it this way is that “winning“ is by chance, so the kids with more difficulties attending to any clues that I would give playing the game the ordinary way have just as much chance of winning as anyone else.

The request that I have is that you add an option to change the music that plays when they uncover the star when putting an item in the toybox. Right now, the “sad” music plays, which doesn’t really go with the way that I’m using the game. I’d love for there to be an option to have the “happy music“ play when they put it in the toybox. The kids still love the game, but it would be a nice option to have nonetheless!

Real fun game

I really love using this app and customizing game tokens of our own. I have had no issues with crashing. Looks like it was updated since the last review to solve this issue.

Cute app but crashes frequently

My speech students love this app but two things need to fixed in order for me to give this app 5 stars. The app crashes while you are creating your own groups/categories and every picture you just added has to be searched, sized and added again. Very frustrating. You can get around this by adding just 3 or 4 pics at a time, closing the app and opening it again. Now you will have to add in the "edit" mode. You will still need to close out after adding a few pics as it will crash in edit mode also. Very time consuming.
Secondly, the sound upon winning sounds like you lost. My students finally told me to turn off the sound. I emailed the company with a request for a more upbeat sound but haven't seen an update yet. Overall, when the bugs are fixed through updates you will love this app!!

Fun app

Love this app since it is just like the Secret Square board game that you can't buy anymore. I've been making my own cards to play the game with students but now I won't have to. The kids got a kick out of adding our own pictures and like getting to hide the star. I will be making categories for articulation this weekend.

Wonderful!

I use this app for my kiddos in therapy and find that is an awesome game for teaching categorization and turn taking. They seem to enjoy moving the tokens around the screen and placing them into piles to better help them identify like objects. I do have to make sure that the other kids don't peek when someone is trying to hide the star, but it's just like other board games in that way. All in all, it is a really fun game with lots of potential.
