Scaffolding
This app was a great way to teach children how to answer questions. I liked the built in prompting that I can fade out. However, I lost all access to the app with the newest update. I need to pay $27.99 again to get the full version.
Excellent app for targeting ‘wh’ question understanding!
As a school SLP, I use this app a lot for working on understanding of ‘wh’ questions. It is the best app I know of to assess whether a student really understands the meaning of ‘wh’ questions. I do wish you could turn off or minimize the feedback a student gets after they make a response.

Great App for Middle School Students with Autism!
In my middle school classroom, the students enjoy using iPads for educational programs, earning as a reinforcer, and as a form of communication. One app in particular is fun, educational, and engaging for my students. The app is called Question It. The app is used to teach students to answer various “wh” questions with the aid of visual supports. The app has various levels of sorting that the student or teacher can choose from, ranging from one word to paragraphs. With the help of color cues that fade out as the student progresses through the app, this enables the student to learn by errorless teaching. The student has fireworks displays as reinforcement sporadically throughout the app when answering correctly. There is even a portion of the app that keeps data on the student’s progress on the number correct out of the total number of questions per activity level. This data can then be sent via email to the teacher.
This month, the app was put on my students’ ipads and they all enjoyed engaging in the educational app! My students struggle with differentiating between the various “wh” questions, but with this app the students are eager to work on this difficult skill for them while learning in a fun and errorless manner. I hope to see in the future the skill of answering comprehension questions generalized to use outside of this app and I would highly recommend this app to other teachers and parents.

Nice app but not worth $24.00. Like the color coded elements in the sentences but wish the items to sort were neutral to make the level of difficulty higher for older students.
Great app
I love that this app follows Fitzgerald key to teach words, what kind of word it is, and to help comprehension. This app is perfect for children with severe language difficulties.
Nice app
I like that this app provides lots of different levels from simple matching of colors while learning the concepts to answering questions on their own with out color cues. There is a lot of variety and I do like that the student has to wait and hear the information before moving on to the next question.

Great teaching and assessment tool for questions and comprehension
QuestionIt Is a wonderful errorless learning system to support scaffolded learning in sorting and answering questions. The user can select the level of complexity and support they need in one of four categories, sorting, sentences, and then sentences, and paragraphs. The therapist or teacher can list current students and chart and track their progress. Excellent reinforcement allows this to be both the teaching and assessment tool. A must-have for working with kids to improve their receptive language skills.

I work with all levels of students from preschool to junior high and find this app a good tool to help to learn basic questions. I would give it a 5 star rating if you could limit or focus on 1 question form at a time. I hope the developers offer more apps using PECS.

Love the app! The kids cue in quickly on the colors, but move past it. My kids like to progress through the levels where the color cues disappear.
Best "WH"app
This is one of my top 10 go to apps! It is my #1language app helping students answer comprehension questions on the high end. On the lower end we use it every day about the day of the week. I love the color coding and the ability to move up within the app. Data tracking is awesome.... Must have app.

Update please?
Any consideration to allow users to practice one question form at a time? I like this app, but its use is limited to my few students who can manage all four forms at once. Great app!

Great for SLP therapy but...
I'd give this app 5 stars in a heartbeat if you'd add into the results page what level the client was working on! I love the data but I still have to write down what level I had the child working on. As an SLP, it's a great app but please add that piece in. Thank you for changing the voice!!!!
Great for the Classroom!
QuestionIt is a great way to teach understanding of answering wh questions (who, what, when , where). It is suitable for children with and without special needs and has worked successfully within my classroom. The layout is neat and visually appealing. Using picture cards helps to increase understanding and participation. Thank you.

Great app
I am an SLP working with high school students, and it's really hard to find apps that aren't too babyish for my lower-functioning kids. I've been using this one for a few weeks with some of my autistic students who have a very hard time asking and answering questions. They absolutely love it.
I like the tracking ability for multiple kids and the ability to set difficulty level. This app is well worth the money.

Almost five stars
I really like this app and think it is a great way to teach how to answer wh questions. The reason I don't give it five stars is that it needs a few things. It really needs an info page to fully explain the different parts of the app. Second, you need the option to choose what wh question(s) you want to work on. I don't like working on all four at once. Great job on the new voice!

This is a good app to teach discrimination of different question forms. The voice is still somewhat robotic but I find that some students with ASD respond to that voice. Would like the option to hide color cuing in future updates.
Very useful for speech delays
This is a really useful application to use with speech delays. If you are at the point where the sentence structures are the point of emphasis, this app works great!

It is still not five stars due to my problems that I listed in my previous review:
1) no info page. The app is pretty easy to navigate, but it would be nice if there was an info page that explained the setup of the app and what each level exactly means, i.e. what's the difference between sentence and advanced sentence.
2) more customization.
a) It would be nice if I can only have what doing or where questions or a combo of the two be asked instead a mix of all four. Some kids can handle all four, but others would benefit from just one at a time. What I do so far is mute the app, cover the question pic with my hand and only ask one question form during one activity.
b) I like having 3 picture sentences as well as 4 picture sentences, but there are not many 3 pictures sentences and I wish they showed up more or I had the option to only work on 3 picture sentences. Also, it seems like the difference between sentence and advanced sentence is that the order of the pictures is presented as who, what, where, when and when, who, what, where (i.e. Brother, breaking, playground, Tuesday vs. Yesterday, he, closing, bedroom). It would be nice if there was another Sentence level that combined the two types of sentences and presented them randomly. Hope this makes sense. Overall, I like this app and recommend it, but I still have to do too much modifying to it for me to give it five stars.
