I haven’t been on the CTA for the last 15 months. Through that dark time QuickTrain kept me sane. I’d load the local station and watch the trains go by. It’s a great app for commuting or just dreaming about commuting.

Guessing Game.
A once reliable app is now useless. It will tell you the next train is arriving in 10 minutes, and then 2 minutes later it will advise the same train is now arriving in 2 minutes. Has happened too many times to be a fluke. You’re better off using tarot cards.

I am sorry to hear about the inconsistent data. QuickTrain utilizes the CTA Train Tracker API provided by the CTA. If the times are incorrect, I'd suggest visiting https://www.transitchicago.com/traintracker/ and seeing if the times are the same. If so, please feel free to reach out to the CTA at https://www.transitchicago.com/feedback/ and let them know you're seeing incorrect times. Simple and easy access
Pulls up train info quickly in an easy to read format. Way better than CTA’s mobile web. If you turn on location, it’s even easier, it just picks the nearest stop for you.

Fantastic!
When you open the app, it knows the train station closest to you and instantly gives you the information you need - RIGHT NOW! No need to tap around to find your station. Excellent! 😍
Crap
I paid for this app and everytime it updates I lose my favorites and have to find them again. Also doesn't do buses, which should be obvious because it's called quick train but would be helpful

Best CTA Rail app
A good app becomes great with its recent enhancements. Now sort by train direction as well as by route. Track a train to and from your station. GPS finds your nearest station. Customer service is the best. The only rail app to use.

If you live in Chicago, ride the L, have an iPhone, but don't have this app, you're kind of a clown.
Perfect for Chicago 'L' Info
This is one of the few apps that I keep on my main home screen on my iPhone. If you use the L in Chicago it's really a must-have. It's the absolute minimum you need to do to answer the question, when's the next train that I can catch near me. Just tapping on the app tells you the nearest station and the times of the next trains in each direction. Clear information in one tap. And you can drill in further from there to find info about any stop you like. Very well thought-out. The perfect L companion.

Easy, Quick, Simple.
Very useful
If you ride the CTA in Chicago, this is the app to have. Gives you approximate wait times for the train in each direction. It has saved me time when leaving to get to the nearest station and having to wait for a train that is still 15 minutes away.

Excellent train app!
This app is very easy and setting up your favorite stops is easier than most train apps out there. It finds your location and give you train times for that station.

For anyone using the CTA, this app is a necessity. It's design is clean and simple to use, and most importantly, it's FAST. I've used a few other apps harnessing the Chicago train system data, but this one is far and away the best.
