Quictionary is an online English-Chinese and Chinese-English dictionary that helps with language learning and reading. It allows you to look up words and phrases, hear pronunciations, and explore related terms like synonyms and antonyms.
Key features include the ability to look up English phrases, hear word pronunciations, and easily find related words, synonyms, and antonyms. Most words within example sentences are also linked for quick lookups, and the app provides a browser-style history for easy review of past searches.
You can look up words by directly typing them into the app. Alternatively, you can copy a word from another application, and Quictionary will automatically detect and look it up when opened. You can also tap on linked words within example sentences or select any word and choose 'Look Up' from the menu.
The application is free to download and use, with the option for in-app purchases. This model suggests that core dictionary functionality is available for free, with potential for premium features or content to be unlocked through purchases.
The lookup history feature allows you to easily revisit words and phrases you've previously searched for. It functions like a web browser's history, letting you go back and forth between searches. The history is available in both chronological and alphabetical order, making it convenient for reviewing and reinforcing your learning.
