About
Quipu is a keyboard-first client for Vikunja, the open-source, self-hosted task manager. If you live on a hardware keyboard — on iPad with a Magic Keyboard, or on a Mac running your iPad apps — Quipu lets you fly through your tasks without ever touching the screen.
FAST BY DESIGN
Every action has a single-key shortcut: j/k to move, e to edit, y to add to Today, x to mark done, / for a command palette that finds any action by name. Shortcuts are fully remappable to match how you already think.
TODAY FOCUS
Pick a handful of tasks each morning and Quipu keeps you there — a daily planning prompt, a dedicated Today view, and a clean reset every day so yesterday's picks never pile up on today's.
KANBAN, YOUR WAY
Switch any project to a Kanban board (To-Do / Doing / Done, mirroring Vikunja's own buckets) and move cards between columns with a keystroke or a drag.
QUICK CAPTURE, FROM ANYWHERE
A "New task from clipboard" shortcut, a share-sheet-free URL scheme for Shortcuts automations, and a home screen widget for one-tap capture straight to your Inbox. Drop an email from Mail, a file, or a link onto a task list and Quipu turns it into a task — small files become notes, bigger ones become a real attachment.
MULTI-SERVER, MULTI-DEVICE
Connect as many Vikunja servers as you use, switch between them instantly, and sync your settings across your own devices via iCloud Keychain.
MADE FOR YOUR HANDS
Full support for nesting tasks and projects with Tab, quick-add "magic" (@labels, !priority, due dates and #project, all typed inline), light/dark appearance that follows the system (or your own choice), and eight accent colors to match your taste.
Quipu is free, open source, and doesn't run any analytics or ads. It needs a Vikunja server — self-hosted or hosted by a provider of your choice — to connect to.
