Not that great

It will block sites you specify, bug usage isn’t obvious and you have to know the sites to block. Not very intuitive to see websites your kiddo is using

It doesn’t work

The app doesn’t work and I paid 1 year subscription. I want my money back
😡😡😡😡

Not solid

I tested the app with some nasty language and it did not make a report to the parent app. But when sending “ok” it flagged the word “ok”. Also not all calls and messages are listed. Some do get listed and some don’t. This app does not feel secure as a parent.

Terrible scam app

They make closing the account terrible experience, and they pretend to be free only to say you have 3 days free trial and you have to pay around $115 annually. A bunch of scammers

Not simple

I’m not technology savvy by any means so this app is NOT simple and I will be requesting a refund!

Ok, but not Flexible enough

Difficult to set rules or temporarily over-ride. Not flexible or customisable enough

Won’t open

Not sure why but it won’t open for me. It looks updated but no matter what I’m not able to open it (on or off WiFi)

Not working

It worked for more than a year. But now it doesn’t - the children’s device won’t connect to the Wi-Fi

Glitch City

App glitches every day causing my daughter to miss important school updates.

Not very good for msm an calls track

I asked ChatGPT what the best parent's app was based on the phones we owned and was recommended this one. I am very disappointed that the only way to track iPhone calls and messages is with a computer that's always on, connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Even then, the phone would have to be connected to the computer via a cable, and even so, it wouldn't register calls and messages. I know iPhone has security barriers, but this setup is just not functional.

Not working and no support offered

I naively paid for a one year subscription. I installed the app and it worked for a few days only. I reinstalled and again only worked for a few days. I did everything recommended to navigate the problem. I requested a refund for the rest of my unused subscription through the App Store and was flat out denied. No reason other than it was final. And no offer of support. No, I do not recommend Qustodio or buying it through the App Store. I would give it zero stars if possible.

Child can turn off

A child can turn off the app and support doesn’t seem interested in fixing it. Other issues reported to support also are not addressed.

Doesn’t Update

I got this app for 3 of my children aged 11, 14 and 16. I get constant trivial alerts about harmless and innocent searches. More concerningly, the tracker feature often fails to update for hours meaning I cannot see where my older 2 children are. I won’t be continuing the subscription and will be switching to a much cheaper and more reliable tracker app and using Apple parental controls instead.

Doesn’t catch every app

When will you add the ai companion apps? Your app does not catch these and this is the new porn!

Peace of Mind

This has lowered my parental screen stress so much. I know what the kids are doing on screens and it cuts down on my need to nag or argue or constantly be on guard. Highly recommend

Windows

This sucks for a windows laptop but is great for a iPad or iPhone

Most comprehensive monitoring app

This is the most comprehensive app I have used for monitoring my children’s devices. It’s easy to use and set and change limits and rules. I really like how specific you can be as well.

PARENTS DO NOT INSTALL ON YOUR CHILDS PHONE IT IS A MALWARE INDUCED CONFIGURATION PROFILE

My parents recently installed Qustodio onto my phone in hopes of tracking harmful messages. It completely failed, although they set it up right Qustodio failed to actually track them. Don’t even get me started on the thousands of other problems:

1. VPN is set in America so if you’re outside the US your child’s phone will become unusable even with permissions on.

2. Random popups will appear out of nowhere telling me to sign back into my apple account, ones just saying “ok” and nothing else and ones telling me my storage is getting full even though it’s not.

3. Randomly it would make me send messages I didn’t even write such as sending the app TikTok to my Mum automatically for nothing, literally just telling her to “install it”

4. Apple Pay would constantly be disabled because Qustodio triggers lost mode every time a feature happens such as downtime. I had to re-add my cards and enable them all again once more.

I could keep going on but I wrote this pretty late and I’m tired. Do not install this on your child’s phone unless you’re willing to buy them a new one.

Terrible Valie

Paid almost $100 for the Qustodio basic plan to try (before upgrading) and I’m seriously disappointed. For that kind of money I expected reliable parental controls that actually work, especially on iPhone. Instead I got incomplete monitoring, features that don’t function as advertised, and constant frustration. Key things I paid for either don’t work properly or require workarounds that shouldn’t be necessary.

The value is terrible. Apple’s built-in Screen Time already does a lot of this for free, and Qustodio’s extra features feel half-baked or unreliable once you’re locked into the expensive plan. I’m not holding out hope for a refund.

I would not recommend this app at this price. Parents looking for real peace of mind should look elsewhere.

Not worth the frustration

This app is too complicated to do what I need it to do. It’s constantly logging my kids out of things that they need access to even though I have tried to give them access. I also should not have to keep my computer app running to be able to track messaging. Not worth my frustration
