love the radio and app integration with my RF919
Good afternoon.
As of this writing, it is January 13,2026.
I have had my Raddy RF919 for almost a year. It will be 1 year in April.
I love this app because I can see as a blind man what frequency my radio is on which is a first.
That said, there are some things which are frankly Very annoying.
1. The updates to the radio Are Not Pushed through to the app. This makes no sense at all as if you look at Apple Watches for example, you can update them via bluetooth and so I'm looking at that and just thinking, "why can't Raddy do this with their app?"
2. The radio has settings and in app, I can't see said settings which as a blind man, this makes operating my RF919 harder. Obviously not impossible but, it does make it more difficult so adding all of the Settings from the radio would be huge.
I don't know if this is the correct place to put this but, I'm just going to in the hopes somebody in development sees this.
So here's point number 3. If I could change modulation types on the radio itself, that would be amazing. I would like to get up to say 243.000 on AM. Currently I can only do 243.000 on FM which does Not help me in receiving UHF military traffic in Amplitude Modulation.
4. I find the functionality of the app to be adequate but, features are sorely lacking. I would like to see more thought put into accessibility for the blind. We as blind individuals should be able to have the same freedom of operation as our sighted counterparts and to do that, if the app could act as a Display and as a Function executer that would be great.
Example, as I previously mentioned, the radio has Settings. In app we don't. If the app acted as a Display it would have everything shown on the radio display. For the executer part, say we tap settings in app, it would open both on the radio screen and in app. When we make a choice in app, this is shown on the screen of the radio and that change occurs on the radio.
In summary I want Updates pushed via bluetooth done via connection to the radio via the app and your device such as phone or tablet.
I want the app to show every little thing on my radio's screen and I want the ability of interacting with what's shown.
I want to be able to change modulation types so as to open more coverage on the radio.
And now to whom it may concern, I would appreciate it if you could write me back so as I know this isn't just going into the void.
Raddy hasn't been all that helpful in all of this and so I am reaching out direct in the hopes I hear back from somebody in a timely manner.
I would like to know that my concerns are adequately being looked into and processed for future updates. As a Podcaster, I have covered this radio quite extensively. I love the radio but, the app leaves a lot to be desired.
In Christ's service.

App does not work
This app doesn’t work w the 757 radio. It does not connect to the radio. The iPhone detects the radio (in BT settings) and occasionally the app detects the radio but it never connects. Basically does nothing. I wonder if the company will respond to my questions.
raddy rf919 and app.
hello, I am a blind man and I enjoy this app, let me explain to you why, I have the Raddy RF919 radio and its a wonderful piece of kit. the app interfaces with the radio quite well and works quite well with what it offers. I can read the frequency, that's a first in radios for me, great job, I can scan the bands with the radio from in app, works great, I can change the EQ and see the internal temp of the radio. however, on my ipad the app will crash at times, not that big of a deal as I can reopen it and reconnect and we're back up and running, haven't seen this behavior on the iphone. I would like to see radio settings brought to the app so I can dig more into my radio, example, antenna settings and filters and audio paths and such that the radio does offer per the manual but I don't have access as its not in app. what the app offers however is control of the radio, switching bands, seeing the frequency, the signal to noise, turning on and off the radio, switching to ssb and other things, so for what it offers it does well, but with what i've listed, the crashes occasionally and the lack of radio settings, this cant be a 5 star app at this point. this all said, its a free app, it works and does what its designed to do and if you have a compatible device, you cant go wrong.

Why?
It’s like someone dreamed up this app, wrote everything down on a dinner napkin and then cleaned up a spill with it. It’s pretty sad as apps go. If I’d been the one to have developed it, I assure you that I’d have NEVER introduced it as a viable Apple app (or for any other platform). The really embarrassing part is that this app is mentioned in the Zhiwhis manual… naturally no revisions since having been conceived and written down on that nasty dinner napkin.
It alludes me as to how and why Apple would have allowed this on their site. Apple, have you no pride?
Sad. Skip this one.

Works, but there’s a bug
SCAN doesn’t start a channel scan as per instructions. Instead it starts a frequency scan. The worst part is it erases all your channel presets. Please fix this bug for the next software update. Thank you.
