Slow to open

I use this app solely via CarPlay. I don’t know if it’s the cause of its slow performance but it takes up to two minutes to open. Plus, the favorites list is hidden from view. I wish that favorites was first up, or at least the last streamed radio station was.

And what’s annoying is that when you do connect to a radio station it plays an advertisement or two before starting the live stream. I’m told that it’s the radio station which does it. In my case it’s Melbourne talk radio 3AW. Surely they have enough ads playing live as it is.

Pity that Radio App can’t block this.

The ads that are loaded on a stream are controlled by our partner radio networks, RadioApp does not have any control over this whatsoever. The app, by default, will load the Stations screen which will have your local stations (based on your postcode) as well as any recent stations you've played in the past. Solid App

The app is actually quite decent for the most part. It has good looks, relatively easy to configure, no adds obstructing anything, and offers good listening of various stations. The only issue I have is that the recently revised platform is less intuitive. There is an extra step in selecting and playing a favourite station which is somewhat annoying. I would still recommend.

Great range of stations with flaws

This is probably the most comprehensive list of Australian radio stations available from any service. It would just be so much better if more stations showed the album cover of the song they’re playing while the same station on other streaming services show the cover. This would be the only app I use if this were the case.

Highly Recommended

I’ve been using this app for a long time now after trying some others. It’s simple to use, works seamlessly with my iPhone and has all the stations I need. I had a recent technical issue and was replies to quickly after seeking support and the issue was resolved fast. This is my most used app and I can’t recommend it more!

The latest version is huge step backwards

I've been using this app for years and I like the ability to listen to radio stations while on the go. It has a large selection of Aussie stations to play and the ability to select a list of my Favourite stations. This has always been extremely useful with the ability to use the back/forward buttons (from the lock screen on the phone, or radio controls while on Bluetooth in the car) to switch to the previous/next station in my Favourites list. The recent version upgrade no longer does this. Now the back/forward buttons select the previous/next station from the full list of available stations. This not only reduces the usefulness of my Favourites list, but it means that I have to scroll through a long list of stations to find the one that I want to listen to. NOT HAPPY, JAN!!

Not happy Jan

Very annoying layout since update. Won’t open up straight away you have to close app and re open it to work. Play button is small, can’t scroll between favourites on one screen through Bluetooth whereas before I could with no issues. App automatically plays when connected it never used to before. Change it back or at least the bugs that this new update has. Why change something when the current one worked fine??

Not a fan of new upgrade

You can’t skip to your favourite stations, it just goes straight to a random station you don’t like compared to pre upgrade where you could

Update 27AUG25. New UI looks nice, faster loading and car ply works well. Well done team , keep the updates coming please.

Can’t even log in with a valid email address. Used to be the best radio app but now a former shell of itself. Don’t bother until they fix it.

Love it - But

Love this app have used it for years.

This current update however has broken the ability to step through my favorite stations with the fast forward or rewind buttons on my headphones.

Awful UX

The new redesign is absolutely awful. Please rollback. It’s far from sleek, unintuitive and feels like it wasent user tested prior to release. The term Keep It Simple Stupid comes to mind. The app was great and just worked. Now feels clunky and way over-engineered. Even the new icon is an eyesore.

v3.18 redesign is terrible

What a downgrade. You keep the same design for years, make minimal changes, then a massive redesign to make the app far worse. Biggest complaint is how small the button is to play a radio station, and to stop playing it’s even smaller.

RadioApp and Google Nest

Loved this app, used it to listen to Radio on my Google Nest. Since a month ago it doesn’t stay connected anymore. Has there been an update that has taken this feature away? Really disappointed.

Needs a bug fix

I have been using this for a long time and all of a sudden I can no longer get it working from iOS to Google speaker - it says it does, then crickets (hear nothing).
I have deleted the app as it’s useless to me atm. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling clearing cache, restarting device all to no avail.
Disappointed with this, as it has been great until now.
