The app won’t even open
I was told I need to use this app, but it doesn’t even open, it just glitches out and crashes before it can load enough to open.
SMS Verification Not Working for USA
I’ve tried for several days to register my U.S. phone number and no activation codes are sent. I’m uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and nothing works. Very frustrating as I prep to for my trip and want to be properly notified of my test result after arrival.
Unable to receive verification code
I entered my country code (US 1) and phone number, and never received the verification code.
Also, for selecting language, it would be handy to have the language in THAT LANGUAGE, as it wasn’t immediately obvious that Enska was English.
Want to help keep COVID cases low, but this app isn’t going to do it. Will rely on vaccines and masks.

Useless so far.
I downloaded this app because it was recommended by the Icelandic travel documents. I’m unable to enter my area code from my American cell phone number. You can scroll through many area codes but they don’t have every code that exists and don’t allow you to enter yours. Now I can’t get the code that they are supposed to text to me.

Almost works
The app has some excellent graphics and explainers, but breaks as soon as I:
• Try to set it up without an internet connection
• Try to set it up outside of Iceland
• Try to set it up without a phone number
It also breaks on older iPhones (I have a 6S) although this has been now fixed. Once broken, it will never work again, even in Iceland. The fix is simple, delete and reinstall.

Can’t register phone from USA

Looks nice, but can’t register phone
I’m in the US with a US iPhone. When I try to enter my 10-digit phone number, the “continue” button is grayed out until after I enter the 7th digit. Icelandic phone numbers only have seven digits, so perhaps the app isn’t recognizing my 10-digit number as valid. I tried many times, even deleting the app and reinstalling it, but I wasn’t able to receive a verification code. My husband had the same problem.

IPhone
I am trying to register my mobile phone for contact tracing. It is an IPhone with an US phone number I used +1 as my country code and my phone number just as I did in other apps and the verification code is never sent. Other reviews and notes on this app say it was fixed. We tried deleting and reinstalling. It still does not work.

Doesn’t Work
Horrible, stupid app that doesn’t work. Entirely dysfunctional.
New update works. Received code on US phone.
The latest update has allowed me to receive the activation code on my US phone number. Thank you for fixing this.
App’s been updated!
The developers finally fixed the bug that was preventing me from registering my US based iPhone. After downloading the update, I received the confirmation code and was able to complete my registration. We’ll see if it actually works and sends me the results of my airport Covid test when I travel to Iceland next week.

Still glitchy
I encountered the same problem of it not allowing enabling of contact tracing on my device. So I deleted the app, reinstalled, and it let me reregister, adding the things it wouldn’t allow 1 hour ago. A lot more trouble than it’s worth given Iceland’s low case rate. If tourism picks up, and there’s still mandatory testing of all vaccinated arriving passengers and 4-24 hour hotel quarantine, it would be important to make this far easier than it was today.

Total piece of crap
Going to Iceland and they recommend this app.
Nothing works and can not get past “Turn on notifications in settings”.
It will not let me register my phone number either.
This should be deleted from the App Store. Apple is so far past allowing an App like this to be available on their platform. Total junk.

Does not work on my phone
I use an iPhone 12 when I try to have code texted to me it does not send text. After reading it appears this has been a long term problem for iPhones that they have not fixed.

got a new iceland number sim. messages get to me so the number is fine. the codes are sent to the app but the app wont recognize them.

I don’t think it works for iPhones. I’ve downloaded it several times and the app crashes every time, unable to load. This wouldn’t be a big deal if I wasn’t stuck in a foreign country unable to go home because of this stupid app.
