Thank you for your feedback and for downloading our app! We currently have over 23,000 ramps in our system and are adding about 50 new ramps and updating details each week. We also collaborate closely with local authorities to ensure our data is accurate and up-to-date. Regarding your suggestion about adding ramps, we’re actively working on a feature that will allow users to add new ramps to the map, using a consensus mechanism to prevent misuse and ensure reliability. In the meantime, if you notice any public ramps that aren’t marked or are missing details, please let us know, and we’ll add them. A get that boat info is for the boat assist. It would be awesome if we all have great cellular service (5 super G).. everywhere. But hey!! The how to videos are great….should read the reviews before downloading app…!! Not my cup of tea!!!

Regarding 5G connectivity, our loading assist functions offline; however, an internet connection is needed for real-time map, weather, and traffic updates to ensure the data remains current. This is similar to Google Maps, which offers offline maps but requires connectivity for detailed location information and deeper insights. We kindly ask you to reconsider your rating, as a one-star review is quite extreme and can significantly impact our visibility and ability to grow. Yes, we do offer an email signup option on the welcome screen (first screen after opening the app), which is automatically selected by default. On the “Create Account” screen, you can easily create an account by entering your email, password, and password confirmation and tap on the “Next Step” button. The Apple ID and Google ID options are convenient alternatives for one-click sign-ups. We have hundreds of users who have successfully signed up with their email addresses, and we kindly ask you to reconsider your rating, knowing this option is available. Update 06-14-24: Dear Drew, We apologize for any confusion during your setup process. After successfully logging in via email or your Apple/Google ID, the next step in the setup process will only require your name. If you would like to learn more about the additional features of Ramp Assist, such as the “Boat Loading” feature, which requires boat measurements to update the algorithm and camera access to track your boat trailer for positioning and providing accurate steering and throttle recommendations, please visit www.ramp-assist.com or reach out to our support team for a quick video demonstration. However, if you only intend to use the boat ramp locator, check the weather and tide, and monitor boat ramp traffic, all we need from you in the initial setup is your name and location access. No Email Option When creating account ? Dealbreaker
Update: Had to use an iPad to find the email sign up instead the iTunes and google options that are shoved in your face on the iPhone. Now going through the “configuration” of the app why not just ask for my social security # too? You have to input all sorts of measurements and give access to your camera and photos. WHY? I’m just looking for a boat ramp. Why do you need to make is simple task so invasive? Just show me where the ramp is. Maybe throw in what size boats can be dropped at that ramp. You don’t need pictures of my boat, truck or trailer for that. Remember the simplest principle, KISS
