I'm sorry that RandoMeister didn't work properly for you. I encountered that issue, while in the classroom, myself. I did sort it out but unexpected downtime is never pleasant. Over the years there have been a few periods where I was slow to discover and fix bugs in a timely fashion. RandoMeister has been available in the App Store since 2012 and I do try to keep it helpful and easy to use. I am always interested in specific user experience feedback. Loving Randomeister!
Maybe the other users that have had problems should contact the developer.
I know he responds quickly, and has in no way left the country. He is just down the hall from me teaching 3rd grade :)
It has saved me countless times when I needed to group my students quickly.
