Classroom Essential

We so frequently use this app to create groups that the kids now expect and prefer it. I teach several different classes and RandoMeister accommodates that well.

Unfortunately the app would immediately close each time I tried to open it. So disappointing. Perhaps someone will get around to fix it. Until then I'll use something else.

I'm sorry that RandoMeister didn't work properly for you. I encountered that issue, while in the classroom, myself. I did sort it out but unexpected downtime is never pleasant. Over the years there have been a few periods where I was slow to discover and fix bugs in a timely fashion. RandoMeister has been available in the App Store since 2012 and I do try to keep it helpful and easy to use. I am always interested in specific user experience feedback. Great tool for teachers

My favorite randomizer. I like how the developer responds personally to my emails and takes my requests into consideration.

Loving Randomeister!

I have been an avid user of Randomeister since its inception. Support is fantastic and it works great with iOS8.
Maybe the other users that have had problems should contact the developer.
I know he responds quickly, and has in no way left the country. He is just down the hall from me teaching 3rd grade :)
It has saved me countless times when I needed to group my students quickly.
Thank you Scott for such a useful app.

RIP Randomeister

This once terrific app no longer works since installing iOS8. Apparently the developers have fled the country or have just given up.

Does not work. Period

Every other time I opened the app it automatically closed. When I randomized the names, only one name ever showed up until I went back to look at the entire list, then it showed that all students had been picked and how many times but the names never changed on the selector until I went back to it.

ios8 update

Since the iOS 8 update o have had issues with Randomeister. Sometimes when I open the app it flashes a black screen before opening and when that happens the app is unresponsive (aside from a workaround I've discovered)

Other times I open the app and it will flash, but not a black screen. When this happens the app works normally.

I hope this issue is fixed.

Excellent tools for teachers

I love this app and so do my students. No more having to pull sticks to call on a student. This does the same thing, only much more fun...and no more sticks to fall on the floor or have to put back in the can. Sometimes I let students tap the next pick, and you would have thought I was giving them money! lol

Beyond classroom - Girl Scouts

Just returned from Girl Scout weekend and have this app to thank for making it as hassle free as possible. Used this for assigning duties in cafeteria, cabin cleaning, even for the car ride home. Our girls are 7th grade and will try to 'negotiate' for everything. Once they saw we were using the app there was no debating - whomever RandoMeister said was next was it! THANK YOU!

Great Teacher Tool

What a great tool for randomizing students and putting them into groups. I love being able to specify who should not be grouped together. Obviously designed by a teacher!
