no offline... what's the point?

I downloaded this to be able to access the features of random.org offline. Turns out the app doesnt work offline, it just fetches data directly from random.org... so why wouldn't I just go to random.org if I have service... pretty pointless for my use case.

Why I like Random.org

Besides the obvious (giving a lot of types of randomness,) they teach us a lot about randomness. You can also create your own random choices (e.g., days of the week, people on a list, colors, etc..) I haven’t found better, but I’m also not looking.

Just all around solid.

This is by far the best randomizer on the app store. It’s free, with no ads, and most importantly, doesn’t collect data. I would like to see the option for no repeats, an option to favorite a randomizer so you don’t have to spin the wheel to get to the integer generator every time ya’ open the app, and maybe the ability to add bias, but it’s still amazing. 7 stars if I could, so 5 stars.

Wish for…

Could use an offline feature. Also wish it was easier to alphabetize or reorganize the list.

Huge fan

Random org provides true RNG not seeded from time stamps. Love the app/website, they always maintain free service. I have used random org for over a decade. I would pay for this

The Best True Random Generator

Randon.Org is the best for true randomness! Easy to use, reliable and packed with great tolls for Lotteries, Games, and more. Highly recommended!

Scam

Literally all you get is the coin flipper and then they make you buy every single other mechanic.

You can use their website to use those randomizers for free.

Scam.

Truly Random

I love this app and the whole premise behind it—it generates truly random results (you can read about it on their website).

True randomness

Exactly my point

Not very random

I used the coin flipper daily for a long time and noticed that it seems to favor heads. I once had a head streak of 10 in a row which the probability is .0009765625

why is everything so tiny?

All the results are very tiny. You can shuffle a random deck of cards, but good luck seeing the actual cards. Same goes for all the tax results and so forth. There should at the very minimum be a zoom option in the preferences here.

More menu option for card shuffler

The Card shuffler should be the same website where you can customize which card can show up and how many cards can be drawn.

Doesn’t work on the iPad

I use this app all the time on my iPhone, but when I open it on the iPad and move the wheel to the integer generator, the instant I click to change the value of the maximum value, the app crashes and closes.

Every. Single. Time.

Needs history for random list results

Please add this feature. Great app otherwise. *ORIGINAL REVIEW* Purchased this app not knowing how it would function since there is no trial, found out that there is no way to keep track of generated random lists like the coin toss. Also, there is no “shake” to randomize feature. Was trying to use this app to generate a set of 24 draws on an ESP app using the random list (Green/Yellow/Red/Blue) using the first (1.) result as the draw color, however, since there is no history, its very tedious and time consuming.

Very simple and useful

Please add the ability to create negative numbers on the integer generator. You are excluding quite a few integers from your integer generator!

Slow

I would LOVEE IT, if it was just faster,it’s so slow.. But love the App!

Cool App

I use this app to decide what to do when I’m bored. However, it’d be nice to have sorting options for lists (by name, etc).

Trial would be useful

Forces you to buy the features with minimal description.

Within 1 minute of use, it was clear that this app doesn’t do what I need. Wish there had been a way to establish that before I paid.

Useless List Function

After paying $1 in-app purchase for the list function you’ll find that you can’t paste a long list of items into it. You can only manually enter one item at a time. There are dozens of free apps that do the same thing. Save yourself the money and just go to random.org/lists instead.

Extremely helpful app for serious music students

Fantastic app for randomising scales and arpeggios when preparing for music exams!
