never accepted after years
I’m young, attractive, and professional. I’m a professional model and actress for crying out loud, among having a Master’s degree. I have put in multiple referrals and after YEARS I have still not been accepted. It’s ridiculous.
No one responds on this app
UI is better than other apps especially with the explore mode. Problem is the lack of volume of matches compared to other apps. Have yet to have a single conversation on this one and feel ripped off.
Tinder but worse, waste of time and money in Aus
This is essentially an overpriced version of tinder, people only want to be seen and have their ego stroked. Some good looking people, but mostly from other countries - pointless in Aus. Didn’t see even one profile with any substance, low effort, seems like it’s mostly for hook ups. I’m a 33yo female. Been on it almost a month and haven’t matched with a single person. Waste of $30, half the profiles are on hinge anyway. Feeld is still the best option

Racist and discriminatory app
I’m a Black woman, and I was waitlisted for over a year despite having a public Instagram, an established career, interests, and referrals. I eventually had a white friend sign up, and she was approved in less than 24 hours despite having a private account, no bio, and around 100 followers.
I can’t speak for every Black applicant, but the contrast was hard to ignore. When two people with such different profiles receive completely different outcomes, it raises legitimate questions about how applicants are being evaluated and whether race plays a role in the selection process.
Yes, there are Black people on the app, but they’re the minority. My experience, combined with the inconsistency in who gets approved, makes it difficult not to question whether certain demographics are being preferentially selected.
If an app has a particular demographic it wants to cultivate, I’d rather they be transparent about that than leave people wondering why they continue to be waitlisted despite seemingly meeting the criteria.

Not worth it
I don’t understand why a $50 dollar subscription would still have limits on how many people you can swipe on. On any given day you can only swipe on a few dozen people. If you are only interested in a few, then those same people can only swipe on the same number, it’s going to take much longer to match.

It’s the worst one there is
After 1.5 years on and off this app I’ve unfortunately come to the conclusion that Raya is a completely desexed unerotic place devoid of community or connection… but it was fun briefly believing I had a chance with both Kesha and Eric Andre.

Making your recent connections bigger, and only seeing one at a time, is an annoying, unnecessary update.
Save Your Money, Stay Away
Of course this app was designed for celebrity dating… its entire purpose is to make you feel important for being selected but also not fostering any real way of making true deep connections so you are still craving more validation you will never get. I’ve never seen a less relevant premium option than here—there is zero reason to get it because it has zero perks. Not looking to date? Just want to make friends or (god forbid) network?? Even having just for friends in your profile you’ll match with people you will never speak to because they don’t speak. The app is full of people who claim to never get on the app. POURQUOI?!

Every time it updates it just gets worse
It used to be easy to see matches or who was visiting where but with every update it virtually just makes it harder to see who’s actually in the city or visiting the city you’re in and it’s annoying

Not a useful app, the pool is very small due to them trying to act all exclusive, don’t recommend unless you just want to use more screen time.

The app takes to long for them to review and approve the application. Waited over a year and still it’s under review.

Used to be exclusive, but I guess Raya had their own bills to pay. Now it’s just the same recycled faces from every other app that made people join Raya in the first place.

Now I have to pay add ons to add my travel dates did not previously. It actually does not do what the label says. Very much seems more of a hook up culture than most other apps. Men who match and never talk. Cancelling my subscription I’m going back to that other app
No Diversity or Authenticity in this Dating Pool
Ive been on this app for a couple weeks now. The few options that i get provided by Raya usually land somewhere within this range: white shirtless man that’s a professional athlete, a finance bro, or startup founder. As an Asian woman, it would be nice to see some Asian kings out there. They don’t have to be asian, but i want to be able to share my culture with my future partner. This dating pool needs to be diversified…Desperately.
This app showed me a lot of superficial candidates. I don’t care about your fancy cars or your trip to Milan. Show me that you know how to be goofy and real. That you have the emotional maturity and bandwidth to raise a child instead of hiring someone else to do it.
Overall, dating isn’t easy. And i still feel the same after using Raya
