FAQ

What does the Raymarine Wi-Fish app do?

The Raymarine Wi-Fish app transforms your smartphone into a powerful sonar device. It streams Dual Channel CHIRP conical and DownVision sonar data from compatible devices, allowing you to view fish and underwater structures directly on your phone or tablet. It also includes advanced targeting features to guide you to your desired fishing spots.

What are the key features of the Wi-Fish app?

Key features include streaming CHIRP sonar data, 'Go-2-Fish' targeting to guide you to fishing zones, a field of view target finder, the ability to pause, zoom, and rewind sonar data, capture and share sonar images, and a unique view switcher for split-screen sonar displays.

Is the Raymarine Wi-Fish app free to use?

The app itself is free to download and use. However, it requires compatible Raymarine hardware like the Dragonfly Pro sonar module to function fully. Some advanced features or hardware integrations might involve additional costs.

What are the compatibility requirements for the Wi-Fish app?

The app requires iOS 8 or later. For full waypoint synchronization functionality, your Dragonfly device needs the latest firmware V12.10. If used with a Wi-Fish Black box CHIRP DownVision sonar module without the latest firmware, it will automatically configure to display DownVision sonar only and will not support waypoint synchronization.

How does the 'Go-2-Fish' targeting work?

The 'Go-2-Fish' targeting feature guides you towards your selected fishing destination. Once you arrive, you can use the Field of View target finder to point towards your hunting zone, with distance countdowns as you approach. This allows you to focus on catching fish rather than searching for them.
