Hip replacement

After about one year after my hip replacement. I have had no pain when moving around. I have full movement. The only time I think about my hip replacement is when somebody else talks about it.

Needs Work

This could be a great app for those of us recovering from surgery but as it is now, it’s a bit frustrating. I have reported bugs and missing information but things never seem to get fixed.

incision. care

I needed clear step by step instruction. It said keep clean and dry, but the photo shows someone with a squirt bottle and cotton pad!
I am more than 7 days post op so does that mean i can take a shower without any dressing and then pat dry and put on a dressing? What dressing / sterile pad shall i use?

It was nice till it wasn’t

In the middle of going to the app which I used successfully for 2 months, asks to do an update. When I did I can not get past the log on page. App is not working as of 12/18/2022

Not impressed

I get alerts directing me to the site, but once I get to it I find there is nothing new there. An irritating waste of my time.

L & R Knee Replacements

Right knee replaced September 2021. Left knee replaced January 2022. Right knee pretty good after surgery; afterwards through now extremely painful and disabling. Left knee so-so after surgery and still so-so and very painful, and somewhat disabling. Requested follow-up at which time X Rays were taken, and was told that the replacement knees looked great. Living with extreme pain 24/7, limited ability to walk, can hardly get up and down stairs nor get up from chair, more. Had less pain and more mobility prior to the surgeries.

Help

How can I get a renewal of Tramadol script? I do not want to run out over Fourth of July weekend.

Confusing task counter

Overall, the information is helpful. What I found confusing was the number in the red circle at the top right of the screen, which supposedly indicates the number of tasks to be completed. For example, I received a request from my surgeon to complete activities (unspecified). I logged in and the task counter read “18”, with no indication where I was to go next. I went to Activity Board and clicked around until I found new info. After I read the required section, the counter registered “36”, so I looked through the other sections. There is no indication which section needs to be completed. The number changed mysteriously to “17”. I logged out, logged back in and the counter cleared. Please fix the counter and include some indication of WHERE the new task is located.

Useful but irritating

I had a total knee replacement recently, and my surgeons office suggested this app as a means of information and communication.

Some of the information, particularly about preparing the home, was quite useful.

My complaints are as follows: one is assigned tasks and numbers appear indicating things to do but it is not really clear what the numbers refer to.

A more serious complaint is at one point in my recovery I received the message from the app indicating I might have “resumed many fun activities like dancing, bowling and golf.”

Not even close. Even had the Covid pandemic not closed most sites, I was unable to do those things. My physical therapist indicated I was in the middle recovery group, faster than many but not as fast as many.

RC Coach highlighted me as a failure at a time I needed encouragement.

RC Coach

The program has potential but is not being used to full advantage. There are still lots of ‘bugs’! Even when it said an activity was ‘due’ I could not open it. At one point I wrote a question within the app as it suggested and did not hear back for a week because the entire program had been down. I think they have just started using this program and are still getting it set up. (I’m just guessing.) I asked an office staff member about the program when I was there for an office visit & no one knew about it. I think once everyone is on board and it’s being used properly it will be useful.

Review

I received excellent care at theCORE hospital except for PT. I was walked Sat. a little and said someone wou look d see.Monday. Needless to say I was gone &recieved no other PT. Now my home health was excellent. I have had my first PT at the Orthopaedic center, tiring but excellent. Thanks Dr. Mural for such an excellent surgery .

Good but missing options for accurate info

In the midst of using this for post hip replacement. Have found videos helpful as well as information modules. Particularly like the review of what you should be doing at certain points post op so that I can focus on anything that I am not doing well.
One suggestion so far- Physical Therapy Survey does not give a N/A option. I didn’t have ‘organized’ physical therapy and therefore cannot accurately answer the three questions. (Surgery was OP so didn’t see a PT & no Home Care PT. It was self instructed with your videos and written instructions.)
1. Last date of PT? Didn’t have so can’t answer
2. Where did you have PT? My answer is -At home, self - guided. This should be a choice in addition to Home Care, etc
3. Are you still getting PT? Again, N/A should be a choice.
Because I can’t answer these accurately, I can’t complete this module and will probably get reminders that I am delinquent in submitting answers. 😊

Knee replacement surgery

Had a wonderful experience with my knee replacement on 04/19/21. Some pain but controlled and it helped to have meds before therapy and, after a couple of weeks of home therapy, my home therapist said I was just about at 100%. I’m happy, and able to do things, albeit slowly, getting back to normal activities. It will take some time yet - never run and never jump!! Soon I will be going to outpatient therapy and on my way to complete healing. Thanks to my doctor and his team. They were great.

Knee replacement

I have to say everything has been great. Up until this morning I have had no pain. I would rate pain level between 2-3.
Everyone has been great involved in my care.

Improve diversity of photos used on app

It would be great to see a more diverse group of photos used in the app to make it more welcoming to all users. Some young and middle-age people need knee surgery, as well as black, indigenous and people of color.

Hip surgery

I have fully recovered from my hip surgery. I feel great and I’m no longer in pain.

Recovery is hard work

This app gives me uplifting messages when I am hurting and having a set back day. Funny to see my doctors picture when I log in. That picture does remind me to get exercising.
