Bought game and cant restore purchase
I bought this game ages ago with intent to fully play it, then it became inextricably un-redownloadable for quite some time. I have now redownloaded it after Appleās functionality update, but trying to restore my purchase leads to nothing. The app instead wants me to pay again for content I already have in my account, which makes no sense! MidBoss, hope you are well and see this as I really want to play this game again and beat it!

Absolutely worth the price
Disclosure, I'm writing a review purely out of spite at people who download the demo part for free and then complain because they can't play the rest of the game for free.
This is exactly the kind of point-and-click adventure game I look for, where developers aren't trying to bleed money off me with either micro-transactions or ads, and it's more than worth paying for it.
On the game itself, the cyberpunk setting is really fun - it's like our current world but with robotics/AI and capitalism driven into overdrive. Characters are entertaining, and it's great that they don't have to like your player character. Your choices do matter. Plus, the music is great - I love Tell Me Your Story.
Only one thing: I wish they'd brought the voice acting to mobile too - that's the only reason why even though this is more portable, I prefer the PC version and would recommend that version more.

No Joke, The Best Game.
I have yet to fully finish the game but have already fell in love with the game completely. There are not many cyberpunk style games on the app store so that let alone makes it unique. Much work has been put into the game from the character designs, their personalities, the music, EVERYTHING in this game so entrancing. Turing tho has to be the peak of the game, every interaction with him just is so adorable.

Aspect ratio broken?
Great so far other than the fact the game does not seem to fit the screens and aspect ratios of the newer iPhones even though the preview images on the App Store look as if they do
So Far So Frustrating
A very linear game for sure. Iām in the middle of chapter one, so please take this as a first impression and not a final statement. Despite there being so many choices in dialogue, the game makes it very clear that youāre going to stick strictly to the interpretation of your protagonist that it wants. When talking with Jess, acting completely nice gets you snapped at no matter what with no variation, and youāre even given the option to say youāll ādo betterā in regards to hybrid discriminationā¦ when you said and did nothing discriminatory.
Then when speaking to the detective, the dialogue forces you to keep pushing the matter of bending the rules instead of giving you the option earlier on to agree and drop itā¦ until that becomes the only option.
I like the atmosphere and the story is probably entertaining. The world building is fairly good as well, but I wish the in-game screen was bigger. I had to order the blue fairy drink five times because every time I went to open my inventory, it had me leave the bar, which makes you leave the drink. All this to say the gameplay is frustrating
Having paid five bucks for this, Iām pretty annoyed. Any pushback against the rom companion is treated like youāre a jerk. When the dialogue about the plant comes up, if you want to drop it and not be continually scolded for being a bad plant parent, you get scolded still. We just have to be a loser with a bad apartment who doesnāt understand any tech know-how, and is dumb for not having a strong internet presence.
Could be that some of these issues are challenged as the story progresses, but so far, Iām not really enjoying this. It has minimal challenge and feels a lot more like an interactive story rather than a game.

No option to save data.
Kept my attention long enough to get through the first two chapters. Only to fine that there was no option to save my progress, rendering my 2 hours of gameplay wasted.

Its a great game, love the story love the characters, i played this game on the ps4 and i just couldnt stop playing it, i was so excited that it was comming on mobile, played alittle of the demo, but they didnt talk there wasnt any voice actors, was kinda bummed out about that part but other than that, the game is golden i suggest buying the rest of the story.

Iām really happy going through this game the story and plot is original and not confusing, plus the art/ character design is really cool. But as Iāve seen others mention I really with there was voice acting in the iOS version š
Serious fun at a great price
Read Only Memories is essentially a full medium-length visual novel (with a couple puzzle elements) for a phone game price. If you love visual novels or classic point and click adventures, youāll probably enjoy it!
Aesthetically itās very similar to Snatcher; in content itās not much like any other game in the genre Iāve played. Definitely worth experiencing.

This is an excellent game. The characters and the story are both interesting and engaging, and it was enjoyable to play.
It had glitches, but they were quickly patched, and it now works perfectly.

A great price for the amount of time Iāve spent
I played this game when it came out on the PC, and feel nostalgic for it every now and then - itās got a really cute aesthetic and great soundtrack. The price is a seriously good investment considering how much entertainment you get from it (the game holds up well to multiple plays, as each action has consequences). One of my favorite games, Iām excited to have it available in app form!

First screen informs you that you cannot save in the ādemo versionā meaning you must purchase the game in order to save. Why not just display a price in the App Store and save us all the trouble ?
Voice overs putāem back
The only thing missing from this game is the voice acting from the other formats. The game is boring with out the voices. Too much text too speed through. If you can fit AR in a tomogatchi game you can fit voice over tracks in this game.
Doesnāt save
Lost my place after I got a new iPhone- despite saving obsessively and being logged in to Appleās game centre. Wasted money and time, as itās a long game and itās tedious to replay sections you have already completed (you already have to repeat chapter one after purchasing the full game, as it doesnāt remember your progress!). Please fix this!

The UI is a bit small - on my iPad it sits in the middle of the screen surrounded by black space, and itās only slightly better on my iPhone. And *why oh why oh why* remove all the voice acting and make it some kind of ālightweightā version - itās 2018 not 2008! Phones can deal with voice acting & I feel Iāve lost out on a big part of the game.
Overall I can recommend it but the decision-making in developing the mobile version is something I just canāt relate to at all.

One of my favorite games
Iām not usually a fan of point-n-click RPGs but this game has a special place in my heart. Have bought this twice on PC at itās $20 price tag, so $6 on mobile is a steal. If the first chapter interests you, donāt feel hesitant to buy.
