What's New in 聽閱 ReadAloud

1.3

August 28, 2026

Read anything, including what is on paper. • Scan printed pages with the camera and ReadAloud recognises the text on your device, then reads it aloud. Scanned PDFs with no text layer can be recognised the same way. • Look up a word in the system dictionary or translate a passage without leaving the book. • Highlight in four colours, attach notes, and export everything as Markdown. • Fix how a word is pronounced: pick a homophone the voice reads correctly, preview it, and keep it. The text on screen never changes. • Edit a chapter's text — useful after importing something that needs proofreading. • The interface is now available in English, alongside Traditional and Simplified Chinese. • Smoother continuous playback: the voice is now produced as one unbroken audio stream instead of sentence by sentence, which makes listening over Bluetooth and AirPods steadier. Everything above runs on your device. No account, no analytics, no tracking.

Can not open it in IOS system

Response from developer

Thank you for writing, and I'm sorry this wasted your time. You were right, and the fault was ours. The App Store page for 聽閱 ReadAloud was in English, but the app itself was Chinese only — there was not even an English option in Settings. On an English device it opened into a wall of Chinese with no way out of it. That is not something you did wrong. That is fixed. Version 1.3 is on the App Store now with a full English interface throughout. If it still will not open for you, then it is something else and I would genuinely like to know — terence@heiontech.com with your device and iOS version, and I will chase it down personally. Either way, thank you for taking the time to say something. — Terence, Heion Technologies
