Poor customer service
I can see that there was another review on 2/26/25 with the same problem that I have. I signed up and paid $99.99 for a full year. When I open up it says I only have a free account. I have contacted them numerous times by email and phone. I received 1 answer from Aaron who said he would have the tech people work on my problem that night. That was 11 days ago.Calling anything on Readeo a helpline is a joke as they do not help. I am not sure what else to do. So my advice to anyone thinking about this is do not subscribe. It was a total waste of $99.99!

App has major password reset problems and can’t access it
The books in this application are good, and my grandson really likes me reading to him. However, I forgot my password and couldn’t get into the app. I went through the procedure to reset it. After typing a password of eight or greater characters, I could not submit the request. My son also tried to reset the password on his account and was unable to do it. So I am unable to login to my account and read to my grandson. All my emails and phone calls to customer services at Readeo were not answered. It’s hard to believe that a company would totally ignore you. Because of this, I would not recommend this application.

No customer service
I loved the app and during my free trial I signed up for the paid plan. Something happened and my account still gives me the free plan but the take money out of my apple account every month. I’ve called and left many messages over the last month and emailed twice with no answer and yet the took money for the subscription again this month. Since I can’t get any customer service, I will be canceling and telling all the people who I recommended to join to do the same. Great concept & app no customer service.

No response to multiple phone or email requests for support. No details of encryption or security protocols for video calls.
Very poor at customer service
I have found them unresponsive . All they are interested in is sending bills. They do not answer emails and phone calls are very expensive if you are outside the US. I have been unable to close my account.As for Readeo itself I often had issues with my granddaughter not seeing the book we were reading .This made my list redundant as she then had to pick a book.I found it took a lot of research to make an interesting list of books to read together as I was not familiar with any of the authors ( hard work) I’d say it has a very USA orientation

Customer service does not respond
I have been a long time Readeo customer. However, I recently have been unable to open books on the app. After emailing and calling for several weeks and getting no response I am sadly cancelling my subscription.
No Customer Service
Horrible. I signed up for the Gold Plan “on sale”, was charged and never was upgraded. I tried to email their support and called several times. No response yet they continue to email you about upgrading or taking a tutorial. It is all run by bots. DONT waste your time and money
Support ignores you
I want to like this app, however I can’t get them to change my account to gold. I tried to upgrade during the sale, then tried to upgrade again within the app…but nothing connects. I have been charged for a full year. I have emailed both support and help, and no response for k er two weeks.
Great App
This is the first time I’ve ever left a review on an app - that’s how good it is. I use this to read to my kids while I’m on work trips. I love that they update books and amenable you to read anytime/anywhere. I’ve recommended this to other friends and family so they could get involved.
No way to contact Customer Service
Pros The concept is fantastic Cons After many many weeks, we haven’t found any stories the three-year-old wants to revisit. so far, they are either too simple or too in-depth. There are books that use the artistic feel of brown bear brown bear, but the story content is subpar. I can’t figure out a way to make the window where I search for books, big enough that I can actually read the titles of the books without having to open them. I’ve looked everywhere in the app, the only help is for problems with passwords are logging in. The app constantly takes up a significant portion of the screen with a panel on the left that you only need when first starting. It’s worth the 50% off for the first year, but if they don’t make the app more usable from a phone and an iPad, I won’t be renewing.

Terrible! Shameful to bait and switch a toddler
Advertised as paid for by the adult account, then the kids get free accounts. We got through a few books with Grandma, then the app wouldn’t let us continue unless we start paying, too. What charlatans.
Sneaky
The price they offer is in US and when you pay it is charged in AUD. No other app has done this, the yearly subscription is now $180/year instead of the $120 advertised.

I would absolutely give it 10 stars if I could except that, I wish the chat rooms could be bigger. I would pay more for that ability because I have five families of grandkids and only three can read together at one time. I live far away from all of them, and we read together every week but several kids are always sad because they don’t fit in story time with their cousins. We try to rotate, but it’s just not the same.

I’m blown away by this app!
I already loved Readeo, especially for its awesome collection of first-rate children’s books and how fun and easy it is to read together remotely. But this app takes takes it to the next level. Everything is so well done and thought through. It loads so quickly and is so natural to use that it’s actually more convenient than just pulling a book off the shelf. Thank you Readeo for this amazing gift of an app!

Great way to connect with family
We’ve been using Readeo for about a year and love it. Our two kids (4 and 2) request it on the regular. We have grandmas and siblings that we ring into. Really glad that we can use the app to connect when it’s not convenient to be on a laptop.

We have two toddlers and both side families live so far away from us, so Readeo has helped us connect with each other through fun books for years!

Our family loves Readeo. It gives our kids the perfect chance to engage with their grandparents across the country in a meaningful and value add way.
Best reading program
My family has enjoyed Readeo for years. So glad they now have it ready for convenient use as a phone app. My children have enjoyed connecting with cousins, grandparents and aunts and uncles in different states to ready stories together. My kids even want to log in to just read stories by themselves, even if they don’t have a book chat buddy to read with. Best idea ever!
