Not suitable for painting
Not intuitive to set up. Colours are expressed in RGB. Useless proprietary pallets (no watercolour pallets) and mixing instructions are for screens or printer (CMYK) not artists.

Great app.
As someone who is slightly colourblind, this app is indispensable. Makes mixing required colours a breeze. Just realised that it actually saves all the colours you want as you search for the mix, so no need to write the mixes down as you work. You just tap the left and right arrows, and any colour you’ve searched will scroll by. Would definitely recommend this. As important to me as my paint and brushes.

Could be better
I really hope this app gets better because it’s heading in the right direction. I pay for this app because it’s the only app close to what I need to mix paint for my art work. Currently where the app is in terms of being useful and effective, it seems like it’s only in development stages and should be free.
I did not go to art school. I guess if I did, I wouldn’t need an app at all.
This App needs these options
A larger range of paint types and brands.
They only have one small Gouache brand, the rest are oil and acrylic paint brands. There’s not one single watercolor option.
It would also help if they had all the paint colors each of the companies make. Their current lists seem incomplete.
Maybe for beginners they should have a way to click for info on what some color coordinate values mean.
Paint name substitution would also be great.
The color picking tool seems perfect.

Response from developer
Thank you for you suggestions. All brands and paint lines in the system are our dream too. Unfortunately one single paint line needs more than 6 month from start to finish when we decide to include it in the system! Please note that the system works on opaque paint only as clearly stated in the app description: this is why you don’t see any watercolor.
Difficult touch screen interface
Really nice idea, but the colour sliders lack any fine tuning ability and the size of the plus/minus buttons are too small to be usable.
Good app!
Would be better if it could use the camera without requiring me to take a picture & store it on my phone before I can analyze the colors
