Inadequate
This app is inadequate in many areas and lacks solid programming behind it. It does not load quickly and has issues freezing up while using it. it also lacks a lot of features that are common place in most other apps where you view pictures, and videos. If it were 2010, this would be a terrific app. But it’s 2026 and it’s way behind in terms of its capability and functionality. I’m not a big fan of paying a premium price for a less than average product. if these issues are not cleared up within the next year or two, I will most definitely Reconyx for a much cheaper product elsewhere that delivers the same level of quality.

Buggy
Randomly wouldn’t load. Deleted and reinstalled, then it won’t log in. App is frustrating sometimes.
Can’t hibernate
What happened to the hibernate feature? It’s completely gone from my app.
Terrible App
For a camera 5x expensive as leading competitor, this app is awful. Pics take forever to load no matter what they tell you and try swiping between pics and it just brings you back to the first pic. Tech support no help, just excuses. Apparently they only care about making a ton of money off the camera purchase. This app deserves ZERO stars

App Update notification
This app constantly reminds you of updated app info. Nobody cares. Quit with the notifications.
Excellent customer service
I’ve had some problems understanding my plan, how the camera imaging send blocks work, etc… . A quick call to customer service (based in the USA) helped solve the problems. Customer service is very helpful. Refreshing!
Do Not Buy
I bought several of the cameras with the unlimited plan in order to spot trespassers and read their license plates. It worked great for about two months and then they “updated” to disallow those on the “Unlimited” plan, which is their priciest, the ability to download HD photos! Which has eliminated my entire reason for buying the very expensive $600+ cameras and $20/month unlimited plan!

Crashes and freezes up.
Buy tactacam
Between the app crashing and never letting you onto the screen before closing it and reopening it I can’t decide what’s more annoying. Absolutely cannot stand the app. Picture and camera quality is excellent but horrible horrible app. But save the $ and buy tactacam.
Getting much better
As they go along this app is getting much better but the one thing that stops me from 4 or better stars is the sweep left/right sensitivity. It is way overly sensitive to up and down swipe gestures. Just try to rotate to landscape mode and swipe left or right for like 10 pics. Most likely you will be dumped out of that mode and brought back to the overview of pictures because it thought you swiped down a little. This is SO FRUSTRATING. Please please please address this and fix.

Last update
Just downloaded last update and noticed a significant slowdown in opening the app, very slow when changing accounts and loading photos. 13 pro with latest IOS

The picture everyday around noon is normal and as designed behavior. This event is in place to let you know the camera is working regardless of if there are pictures throughout the day. At this time this can not be disabled. Weird image formatting
The latest update created a weird formatting issue that did not exist previously. When images are displayed in rows of 3, the first and second images from left are both displayed as the same size. However, the third image (far right) is stretched to make it fit the screen. It’s still functional, but it makes the app appear clunky. This is on IPhone 12 Pro running IOS 16.1.

Crashes Constantly
The new version crashes constantly and requires reinstall. Then works 3 to 5 times and then crashes again. Please repair. Thank you.

Never had a problem before and love Reconyx but like other recent reviewers, app flashing on and then crashing immediately. Please get this fixed right away. This makes a $600 camera with $15 month cell service useless. Using Iphone 11 with up to date software if that helps.Thanks
App won’t open
Any guess when the app will start working again? The excitement use to be to see if there were pictures of animals now the excitement is to see if the app will open without having to delete and reload. This was(and I am sure will be soon) a great app to use.
