What is going on?
The updated app is a disaster. All my previous purchases have gone and it just hangs when trying to subscribe. Great magazine let down by this app.
What a shame
I adore this magazine. However, beware this app. A recent update has resulted in me losing all my prior purchases. At £5.99 each! I contacted help and was given ZERO support. Really pretty shameful. Avoid and don’t waste your money.
Record Collector magazine
All of my past purchases have disappeared since the app was recently updated. Contacted their support page 2 weeks ago, still waiting for a response. Very disappointed.
All my subscriptions gone?
Unable to restore all my downloads with new app?????? Scam product.
The App is not stable.
I’ve been an RC subscriber for many years, and I believe I started my digital subscription six or seven years ago. I loved keeping old copies on my iPad, especially for long plane rides. In the last couple years I have had two major subscription issues that had to be corrected, and in the last few months, the app will not hold my library of back issues. It wipes them clean regularly. Full of optimism, I try reloading them, but I have several years of issues to download. And sooner or later, the app will wipe them again.
GREAT MAGAZINE; terrible app.

App doesn’t work, just get a black screen
Great Magazine
Full of interesting articles pertaining to the art of collecting records/cds etc. Totally enjoyed my years subscription, the iPad version carries across excellently from the paper format, this enables zooming in on different parts of a page.

Couldn't even get started
I'm so disappointed with this app.
1. On the App Store and in the About section of the app, it says you can get single issues for £3.99. This is not true. They are £5.99 and only go back six months.
2. On the App Store it says you can download a free sampler. This doesn't seem to exist.
3. I contacted Sue at Record Collector about this and was told to contact Apple. This is blatantly ignorant of how the App Store works.
4. The App Support button on the App Store links to a dead page on the Record Collector website. So there is no formal way to query this.
5. Record Collector needs to invest in both their app and website urgently. In today's world, no website / app is often a better solution than a bad offering - innovate or fail.

Great Magazine.
Great Magazine.
Ripped off!
Offers to sell you issues you should have received as part of your subscription. "Report a problem" sends you to a general contact page - apparenty there's no way to contact "app support".
Always tries to charge you per issue even when you have a valid subscription
Very annoying for an otherwise great magazine
The Best mag ever.
Essential reading if you buy music on any physical format.
Indispensable
Nothing comes close to the quality of Record Collector. No agenda, no fashionistas, no next big thing - just quality journalism top to bottom. Thank you RC team.
Best of what we have
Best monthly on vinyl releases...
Help
Not being given any other troubleshooting avenues I must say here that I just downloaded the app, but I cannot download the issue that I just purchased, #430 August 2014

I've been buying this great mag since it joined The Beatles mag (2nd issue) way way back.
It's informative, with great articles and now it's got its own app! At least I have a slice of history with my mags, but the app is great if you're on the train and it's not cluttering your already choked handbag!

Can't subscribe or buy latest issue
The app is great, but something is broken somewhere. My subscription just ran out, and I can't renew or even buy the latest issue. The app keeps crashing every time I try to purchase anything. Thrilled to finally be able to have a digital archive, please fix the ability to buy!
Good content, shame about the app
Needs a bookmark and seems to take along time to come into focus.
Pretty good but could do better
Lacks a bookmark option which is really annoying as the app doesn't remember where you're up to after you exit. Would also be good if we were notified when a new issue was available to download. Otherwise a very well put together magazine.
Record Collector
Heresy!! I much prefer the print version of the magazine but I spend a fair bit of time travelling on trains and planes so the iPad version is an ideal substitute.
