Great App to Keep Track of Recurring Tasks
My one request would be to allow for tasks to be in more than one category. Example: I would like to be able to put a task like “Wash dog bedding” to go under “Pet” as well as “Laundry”
Pretty Good
Where have you been all my life?
Très bien
Manque juste une traduction français et la possibilité de synchroniser avec plusieurs personnes rapidement et facilement plusieurs tâches ou par catégorie.
What I was hoping for
Perfect
Amazing
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for Boiler Service Planning
The interface is clean and easy to use, so setting up recurring reminders only takes a minute. Once set, everything is clearly displayed, meaning I can see at a glance which customers are due or overdue. No more digging through spreadsheets or paper diaries—it’s all there in one place.
If you’re in the heating trade and need a straightforward tool to keep on top of annual services, Recurrence is spot on. Simple, reliable, and incredibly useful.
Horrible
Flexible and easy to use tasks app
I'm happy to say this app ticks all the boxes. Routines are highly customisable, for instance I have a task set daily from Sunday to Thursday only. You can even schedule tasks only on certain days of the week, month or even year!
Tasks can be scheduled on specific dates, repeated from the last completion, or simply ticked off as needed. You can create categories for your tasks and filter them for clarity. You can choose to have single or multiple notifications (or none!) for individual tasks.
The ability to skip and pause tasks is fantastic! I have a few tasks that only apply during school term time, so I can pause these during holidays. I occasionally skip tasks that are scheduled daily but don't need doing.
I've been using the Flylady technique for my household cleaning chores. While this app doesn't have a strict setting for this method, I'm able to set my zones on a rolling 5 week schedule which is perfectly ample.
You can customise how tasks are displayed on the main page, so you really do only see what you want to see. Time periods can easily be collapsed and expanded, again to reduce clutter but also to ensure your schedule is quickly visible when needed.
There's an overall history tab, but you can also view history for individual tasks. The settings tab will let you assign default values for new tasks and how you'd like various parts of the app to appear.
If you want to share tasks with another person using the app, you can even do that too!
The interactive widget is incredibly useful and I rarely have to visit the app itself. Once set up with all my tasks, they appear on the widget at the right times and I can immediately mark them as done.
The only thing I can think of that is missing from this app that I might use is sub-tasks. However, categories can be used to achieve this if required.
The app is in active development and the developer is responsive to feedback.
The reasonably-priced lifetime purchase was pretty much a no-brainer for me - there's a free trial so you can see if it works for you first. Family sharing is enabled too, so you can take advantage of the task-sharing feature at no extra cost!
