Doesn’t connect anymore

Used to work but will not connect to Bluetooth. You can see the device but no connection. App needs upgrading

Doesn’t work

The app does not speak with a device. I have tried everything. Would like to give us zero stars.

The Bluetooth

When I first purchased this item it worked great. Download the app and easy to use. Two years later, it won’t connect through the Bluetooth so you can monitor your food. The devise shows the connection but it just cycles through for about 30 seconds and that’s it. You can still check the temp but can’t set the alarm to go off when it reaches desired temperature.

Bluetooth connection issues!

My Redi Chek ET-735 worked flawlessly until I purchased a new iPhone SE in recent weeks. Now the barbecue thermometer will not connect via Bluetooth. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the App Store with no change. It appears the last app update was over nine months ago. Other than this a great product.

Broken on current iOS

This app is not connecting to the thermometer with the latest update of iOS.

This seriously borks the thermometer since alarms are only set able through the app

No longer works on IOS devices

This app no longer works on our iphone or ipad (it used to). It does still work on an android phone we have but it is definitely not our preferred device. What changed?

Not bad

Easy to use but should do an update!
Things like showing temp trends up or down would be great. Also an option to mute alarm would be nice.

Due an update

Great thermometer, app is ok but long overdue for update and new features that new products to the market come with as standard. Are you still supporting the app?

Feedback

Decent app. Didn’t take long to figure out how to use (and avoiding the user manual). Bluetooth range is limited, would prefer wifi.
Also suggest to a “landscape” (rotated) view.

What Ricdanger said

Ricdanger has nailed it. Implement those improvements not only a 5 star rating but I’ll be promoting it all over town as the digital thermometer to get! It’s a great system but those improvements would make it one of the best!

Peice of junk

Won’t connect to iPhone 7 Plus with ET-735. Only their old 💩 inched app works but that app is outdated and useless.

Not happy!

Waste of time

Try and try again. Won’t pair with iPhoneX. So frustrated. Tried everything. Can’t get money back.

Needs some upgrades

Ap works as a simple readout and alarm. Having to scroll between probes when all the screen space could easily display them (like in menu screen) all makes it feel clunky and under thought. A graph/ plot of the time/temp for all active probes would take this to a 5 star in a hurry.

Poor execution

I have the Bluetooth unit and the app is awful. For $70.00, they could spend some time on the app.

Could be better

Drops connection too easily, has trouble in my living room 30' away from bbq in back yard

Best I've found, but....a silent alarm issue

This works and the remote will work fine across the house, inside and out. The device and iPhone connect every time without problems.

The ciritical issue I have is that the alarm (a really great, LOUD alarm) will not work if you bring another app to the front. The problem occurs when using the iPhone Clock app and others.

Other products I've used that did not connect to the iPhone but had alarms built into their remote were all too faint to be useful so I was thrilled to find this iPhone connections. Now I'm again frustrated and hunting. I bake a lot of bread and depend on a good alarm.

Good overall, needs plot/history.

Pairing was easy. Range is OK but not great; easily reconnects when back in range. Room for improvement: 1-notify me when it disconnects; 2-add a plot of probe temp vs time. This would especially be useful for tracking smoke temp control over long duration cooks.

Makes smoking more enjoyable

My review in the App Store.

First off. This has typical Bluetooth connectivity. I wish the Wi-fi version was out, I would have bought that first. Now, this is a great idea. This device does prevent me from constantly running out to check two or three different thermometers. Awesome. Has this helped my smoking, yes. I can relax and watch what's going on and see the trend in temp. Which brings me to another point. The next software version should have a graph. I would love to see how much my oven temperatures swing when I'm making bread or the temperature of the smoker itself. I would also like the numbers to be larger. I'm not sure why the picture of the type of meat is so huge, but that picture and the numbers need to be reversed. That way, a phone can be set down, at maximum distance, and watched from another distance. There also needs to be a setting for those of us who could care less about the type of meat. Numbers only!! If possible, a screw-on, telescoping antenna wouldn't be a bad idea either. Let's be honest. If you're going to spend $70-$80 for this, what's another $15-$30. I'd also like to see a nice little case come with this or sold on the website. Extension cords for the probes would be a great item. They're the typical length but I find myself needing to place this out of direct sunlight or for the usual Colorado afternoon rainstorm and I can't because cover is another 2 feet away. Tupperware works for the water and a cardboard lean-to for the heat. In addition to the little slider button on the top of the app, I wish you could just swipe left or right to the next probe.
