Rubbish App

What’s the point?? It doesn’t work at all…

Regent experience

On the Regent Voyager at the moment. To be honest they profess to be the world’s most luxurious cruise line. Total mis-selling. This ship is old and tired. My balcony is coming up and I’ve thrown better furniture in the skip. There are good points though. Restaurants, food, mostly and the service is good. Their careful wording but in my opinion misleading offer of unlimited excursions and drinks packages amount to rather cheekily making customers believe they are getting more than they actually are.

Can’t log in

Stuck on first screen. Known issue. Useless app.

App only works on Grandeur.

This app as it currently exists is useless other than on Grandeur. Regent needs to do better.

Regent why did you do this

Supposedly one of the worlds best cruise lines, this is a disgrace. The app is less useful than a chocolate tea pot which even if you can’t make tea you can eat the chocolate.!

Come on Regent your marketing department should be all over this app and remove it from the App Store. Currently on board Seven Seas Voyager which thankfully is a very nice ship.

Won’t do anything, even on board ship

This app is garbage. I’m on board Seven Seas Splendor, and downloaded this app. When I start it up, it just prompts me to join ship WiFi (which is pretty bad, but I’m connected already), or I have the option of clicking “I AM NOT ON BOARD”, which just turns the app into a captive browser for Regent’s web site, but that does not work well at all. Total trash. Very disappointed in all of this.

If this app was a puppy...

...I'd put it in a burlap sack and drown it.

Absolute rubbish

If I could give it 0 I would. As others have said you can’t get beyond the homepage as it will not connect to the ships WiFi as it suggests. What is the point of promoting an app to passengers that does not work.

Doesn’t work on the ship

Will not connect to ships WiFi. No use whatsoever

Worthless

Currently on the Navigator and was informed by tech services the app only works on one of their ships. The remainder are not equipped for its use. Least they could do is inform you in the app which ship it works on. App was developed 4 years ago.
The ship we are on is still using cards and it seems the rest of the industry is getting more advanced technically. Even lower end lodging has updated room entry via phones.
I gave 1 star rating because they won’t take 0.

The Glitterati

This cruise line is extremely elitist. It’s quite sad to see people pay thousands to waste so many resources while babies are starving to death in… beautiful boat though and very useful app

Useless

Was unavailable during our cruise. Asked on board and they confirmed and said they are working on it.

Doesnt work

It won’t connect to the ship wifi or my cell. Can’t even get past the first screen.

Terrible

Really disappointing. Does NOT work.

Nothing at all

Tried to log on but it will not let me. It is not a good app to use like other cruise ships.
I hope you work on improving it.

App doesn’t ask for correct permissions

30 years of IT experience here. On app launch, it requires Local Network Access, but does not request that access (on my iPhone at least). When manually checking the apps that have requested that access it is not listed. This is why when clicking ‘Connect to Ship’s WiFi’ it takes you to the App permissions page, but it never gets further because the setting isn’t there.

Maybe still using windows 95

Worst app ever used. I would have given it a 0 star but the system wouldn’t let you. Maybe they should invest to upgrade.

Dont bother downloading/Grandeur only

Currently on Regent Navigator and was notified by a crewmember that the app is only working on the Regent Grandeur.

Useless

This app is poorly designed and executed. The limited functionality didn’t enhance the cruise experience and we gave up using it after a number of attempts.

There is an excursion/events tab that asks the user to enter last name, DOB and suite number. The submit button is blocked by the lower tab row and you can’t scroll to unblock it.

There is no way to send messages and requests to crew/staff and/or other passengers.

The cuisine menu availability is hit and miss at best. There isn’t any functionality to book reservations in specialty restaurants when tables stress available.

Loafing “Passages” as a PDF in the app renders it basically useless on s phone display as it isn’t optimized for the platform.

Was this app even run through QA and testing? Were user requirements derived from passengers?

While i understand Rehent’s CURRENT demographics may not view the app as an essential part of the cruise experience, that is going to rapidly change in the near future.

Start from scratch and rebuild.

Useful

App works well. Good source for both daily information and info on the venues. You DO have to have some common sense and know how to connect your devices to the ships WiFi prior to opening the App. Then login with your correct name. Works fine for us.
