FAQ

What types of documents can this app read and verify?

The app supports over 10,000 documents from more than 248 countries and territories. This includes ICAO 9303 travel documents like passports and ID cards, as well as non-ICAO documents such as driver's licenses, vehicle registration certificates, and work permits.

How does the app extract information from documents?

It utilizes Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for the visual zone, reads Machine-Readable Zones (MRZ) from travel documents, accesses data from RFID chips (ePassports, eIDs, eDLs) via NFC, and can read and parse 1D and 2D barcodes. It also performs verification checks on extracted data.

Is the data processed securely?

Yes, the app prioritizes security and privacy. All data processing is performed offline on your device, meaning no data leaves your device during the reading and verification process.

What are the system requirements for this app?

The app requires a device with a camera for image capture. For RFID functionality, the device must have NFC capabilities. Specific operating system version requirements are not detailed but it is designed for mobile devices.

Can this app be used for age verification or face matching?

Yes, the app includes features for age checks based on document data. It also offers face matching to compare a document's portrait with a live image captured by the device, including a liveness check to ensure the presented face is live.
