What's New in RemindRelay

1.5.16

August 14, 2026

# What's New: 1.5.16 (App Store) Creating a reminder is now one simple screen, and your backup plan is finally yours to design. **Choose how you're alerted, right up front.** Push, text, phone call, email, or WhatsApp. Pick any mix with one tap when you create the reminder. You can even say it: "remind me to take my meds at 8 via WhatsApp." **WhatsApp is here.** Get your reminders on WhatsApp and confirm them with a single tap on Acknowledge or Snooze. Replies work just like text messages. **Build your own backup plan.** If you miss a reminder, decide exactly what happens next: keep nagging you, text you, call you, email you, ping your smart home, or alert someone you trust. Add steps in any order, set the timing between them, and drag to rearrange. The list runs top to bottom, exactly as you see it. **Alert the right person, the right way.** When a backup step alerts a family member or friend, you can now choose how they're reached: text, call, WhatsApp, or email, limited to the ways they've agreed to. Or leave it to them, and they pick their preferred channel when they accept your invite. **Simpler choices, fewer taps.** Privacy for what other people see is now a one-time setting (you can still change it per reminder), and Critical Alerts are clearer: they sound at full volume on your devices only, and never change what anyone else receives. Plus reliability improvements: offline changes now sync the moment you return to the app (iPhone and Apple Watch), clearer purchase error messages, and better delivery fallbacks when a channel is unavailable.
