Constantly Rejects receipts. Lacks common sense.
Some examples:
I ordered some food through a food delivery app. The food delivery app requires my name to deliver to my house. Remenon rejected the receipt because my name is mentioned in the receipt. The deliver drivers would be confused if I put NoVAT instead of my last name..
We Purchased some medicines from the pharmacy. Receipt was rejected because my name was mentioned in the patient name in the receipt.
Use some common sense Remonon.

We have a common interest of getting accepted as much as possible. However, we are dealing with taxes and have to ensure compliance and sometimes businesses do funky stuff and we simply can't help out without your cooperation. Thank you for the great feedback! We want to get the best possible experience and to accept all your receipts. However, there are regulations set by tax code that we have to fulfill wirh no fail. The cash receipt requirement is set by the authorities to have an auditable trail to ensure the receipts are paid by yourself. We hope that we can convince you in the future!

But now? I don’t want to link my payment methods. I don’t want to link my credit card account accounts. I don’t want an Amazon business account linked, or managed by someone else. I don’t mean this to sound harsh, but I don’t care about your businesses efficiencies so that you can hire less staff. I want my privacy to be respected. I want boundaries. Honestly, in the direction that it’s moving I don’t see how this isn’t an OPSEC problem.

We were already struggling without it in this country of super kind folks that LOVE our VAT forms (sarcasm off now) Here’s another useless tool to work against us again.

The app provides tutorial videos and explanatory tutorials before you can even use the app. We are dealing with taxes and have to follow host-nation tax compliance and US-Forces guidance - we do our best to assist and support and explain every issue to ensure after a slight learning-curve it works for you as intended. Regarding the EUR 250 limit - yes - we are unhappy with it as well. US-Forces and our documentation makes the limit transparent in the onboarding.

We understand your frustration — and we want to assure you that our goal is to give money back to service members, not take it away. Developing, operating, providing support, and ensuring compliance with tax authorities all involve significant costs, and we don’t receive any government funding to cover them. This app was designed specifically for purchases where you normally wouldn’t use a VAT form — we’re limited to €250 per transaction, where traditional forms usually aren’t worth the effort for the small refund. Many stores also don’t accept VAT forms because of the complex paperwork involved. Keep in mind that the cost of the form is just once a month and not each time. We’re always open to feedback and happy to review your case through our support channel to make sure everything works smoothly for you.
