What's New in Remonon

1.1.5

Build one receipt from multiple photos and PDFs, with PDF pages shown in-app. Get Amazon support right from the Amazon screen. We'll warn you before uploading a soon-to-expire VAT form and remind you as your DEROS nears. Offline edits now sync on reconnect, plus duplicate-receipt fixes.

Constantly Rejects receipts. Lacks common sense.

What’s the point of this app if they reject receipts all the time.

Some examples:

I ordered some food through a food delivery app. The food delivery app requires my name to deliver to my house. Remenon rejected the receipt because my name is mentioned in the receipt. The deliver drivers would be confused if I put NoVAT instead of my last name..

We Purchased some medicines from the pharmacy. Receipt was rejected because my name was mentioned in the patient name in the receipt.

Use some common sense Remonon.

Customer service

Dealing with them is the worst.

Calling all US military in Germany!

If you’re stationed in Germany with the US or Canadian military, or NATO HQ, you NEED to use this app to get back the VAT on your daily purchases! Super easy to use, very responsive customer service for the few issues I’ve had. I don’t know why this program isn’t more widely advertised because everyone who can should use it. Can also be used on Amazon, just follow the directions in the app. Thank you, Remonon!

Difficult

Not willing to work with you or understand your situation. A lot of “hidden” rules. And they always try to scare you by saying they will report you to the authorities…. For something you didn’t even know about. Missing the human element and understanding. Oh, if you try to stand your ground or explain a bit more, they just block and punish you for a month or so.

Response from developer

We deeply apologize for how you feel. Our support is available day and night to assist you and ensure everything you upload get's reimbursed. We have a common interest of getting accepted as much as possible. However, we are dealing with taxes and have to ensure compliance and sometimes businesses do funky stuff and we simply can't help out without your cooperation. Please reach out over the chat - maybe can help you out somehow!

Cannot honestly give a good review.

There are a lot of things missing in the app. As a single person household with very little overhead, I honestly don’t see the value. I’ve had one month without reimbursement because I “didn’t buy enough” and am close to another because month of no reimbursement as I “still don’t buy enough” maybe vat forms should be electronic and I don’t have to pay so much at the onset. Or maybe let me have more than one month on a vat form for low yield users like myself. And yes I’m buy things in cash. When I run out of cash I’m done with my purchases for the week. Doesn’t mean there isn’t a vat charge on the cash paid groceries. So yes. I personally don’t see the value for my single person household. Not at this point in time. For people with more than one person, the app probably works well, you spend more for things for your spouse and children. And you are more apt to buy things with a credit card.

Response from developer

Thank you for the great feedback! We want to get the best possible experience and to accept all your receipts. However, there are regulations set by tax code that we have to fulfill wirh no fail. The cash receipt requirement is set by the authorities to have an auditable trail to ensure the receipts are paid by yourself. We hope that we can convince you in the future!
