Has to be online
Hey, it’s an off grid installation, and it won’t let me check the status of a battery that’s 2 feet from me without getting on a cell system first. At least it used to work but now it doesn’t even. Can’t login anymore.

Works great and I can get valuable data from the app on my iPhone. A remote antenna allows the signal to get out of the metal solar cage and into my living room. Highly recommend
Latest makes it glitch
I’ve never had issues with the app coordinating SOC between my mppt and Shunt300 but the latest update has been correlated with update hangs, mismatch SOC displays, and punctual realtime updates. Having to force close and reset the app isn’t a positive benefit
Get the other brand
Just generally very unreliable and difficult to manage. Wish I had gone with Victron.

Inconsistent and support team weak
I have used multiple Renogy devices and the MPPT controllers are of great quality. Unfortunately, the Renogy One devices that are critical to monitoring the controllers are substantially less reliable! This is truly a problem when you have remote locations to check on! Knowing what your output and power efficiency IS a must!! The Renogy I have had two devices fail on me when they are 6,000 miles away!! Updates are not quality tested and then act like they are updating but never reflect the update. You check again and the Renogy One device goes through the process again. This is true after resetting the device. Renogy One app is now prompting for login every time I access it. Sometimes facial recognition works and other times I go out and come back into the app with no problems.

I don’t like spending thousands of dollars for equipment. Use the app that’s supposed to provide me with a status and instead the only, I repeat the only notifications that are provided by the app are advertisements to sell you more stuff. It’s ridiculous and unprofessional.
Connectivity
Poor connectivity when used with the Renogy one , keeps dropping out and you have to reconnect which is totally unacceptable. I expected Renogy to be far better and now wish I’d gone for victron
Have to create account to use Bluetooth device
WTF. I just want to connect to the Bluetooth device using iOS iPhone app. But I can’t create an account because I can’t get a verification code emailed to me.
Login required MONTHLY to use
Why would anyone buy a off grid power system that requires internet to monitor since Renogy requires you re-login at least once a month. In my experience that means I am always logged out when I go to check my battery’s status.

No offline mode
You can’t use this product offline. I just need to read my battery voltage with the Bluetooth Renogy Module, I don’t need a login required system. No one that wants to camp should purchase Renogy products, unless you have internet everywhere you camp. What a waste!
They have a little “Why I need to login” entry on their login screen that LIES and says you can use this offline once you login once. That is untrue - your login WILL expire. Mine does EVERYTIME, because I use this app just a few times a year. That means I am ALWAYS logged out. What a scam.

Too many updates
Seriously way too many updates. I don’t enjoy being logged out and having to reconnect to my system because I seldom use this app. Odds are I will delete the app and remove the Bluetooth module.

It will not connect directly to the devices
There’s some issue with the Bluetooth. My old device is not connect. I tried to delete it. All basic method doesn’t connect. The customer service is trash absolutely almost I spent $7000 just for battery inverter and charge controller only for one years after that it will not connect. Stay away from. Renogy don’t buy it.
