Update

Another app ruined by the update. I needed an app for my scale. Instead, they’ve created a social media app. No one asked for this. Why do companies not understand that we want the products to do the things we purchased them for. Not everything needs a connected experience or shared motivational accounts. I don’t care how much “ Susie” can run. How about you just improve the product itself. I don’t need AI. I don’t need any ridiculous social media nonsense to keep track of my weight. You want to expand you business model. Dont do it at the expense of the products already sold. I will never recommend this product again in fact I will actively discourage anyone from purchasing anything they make. On top of everything else. The Home page is nothing but adds at the top. And you have to page through the app to get to the information that used to be clearly available. Terrible. And if I could use expletives here I would have let the owners know what I think they should do.

Stay Away I would give 0

These are the worst scales and the worse company I have had the misfortune of using. Scales do not sync with phone app at all after trying so many times and trying to contact the company for a fix. I am going back to my old scales that work, I tried an upgrade and unfortunately I ended up wasting money. I would give 0 stars if I could

Much Worse

The interface is much, much worse than the old app! What a downgrade!

Please Make COLOURFUL

A nice app to me it’s not as colourful and engaging as the original RENPHO app for the smart scales , please consider providing the same interface as the original or make it even better

This app is a downgrade

Renpho had another app that worked perfectly. They disabled features of it when they released this one. I assume it’s to game their review scores over the years. The new app is a worse experience with a more limited feature set. I’ve been using Renpho scales for a very long time, but as soon as they give up I’ll be looking for another provider.

The Worst

I would give zero stars if possible. Always loses my data. Makes impossible to track progress

Broken

The “measuring” indicator just spins infinitely when standing on the scale. Since installing this new version the same is now happening on the old Renpho app.

If you like this, you must have never used just the original Renpho Scale app

The original Renpho scale app was perfect for my needs. That’s all I want - the scale information and the stats that go with it. And it’s nice to look at and use.
This new-ish “health” app that we are now going to be forced to use is such an ugly interface and clunky - all white, hard to read, nothing is all in one place, and requires multiple tabs to find what you’re interested in seeing. Once again, companies breaking something that worked well from the beginning. I don’t need another app that integrates with everything on the planet. I literally just want an app that works with my scale. This is a fail, IMO.

horrible

this new app is AWFUL. the other one was perfect. WHY. this is the WORST. and where are the other profiles for my family that have been using the scale for years with me?

Disappointed

I’ve been using the Renpho scale and app for several years; I LOVEEEE the old app and absolutely detest the new app. At first the new app let me keep the layout of the old app, then it suddenly transitioned me to the new layout without a warning. The new app is less user friendly than the old app particularly when viewing your health data. I used to be able to view it all on one screen but now it opens a new screen just to view specific data (like your BMI) instead of being able to view EVERYTHING ON ONE SCREEN!!! Definitely a run on sentence, but I’m just very frustrated with this new app. Might have to find a new scale :(

I liked the old one

I have two apps that track my fitness. I just want my weight and history. What do they want me to do, get a scale for the other devices and toss this one out? I like my renpho scale.

Lost all data with upgrade

Forced me to upgrade and lost all my data for the last four years.

Great Company Needs AI

Great company, but the app needs AI with insights.

Works great

Had a previous issue with multiple accounts that made me think I lost all my data. User error.

App works great for tracking weight, food/calories and such. Good value for the money considering the app is free and the scales aren’t expensive.

I do find the calculations to be strange with “Athlete mode” being so vastly different from standard. My body fat varies by 10% depending on whether it’s on or off. I’m in good shape and exercise regularly, but I’m not sure I meet the exact criteria for athlete mode; Despite that, the standard setting’s values don’t make as much sense - I’m either 27% fat or 17%… 17% is more realistic, but I have to toggle athlete mode.

Why is there such a disparity? Shouldn’t the number be the number?

My BMR is supposedly 1900+ calories. I’m not eating anything close to that and I’m burning an additional 500-600+ calories a day from exercise. I should be dropping weight steadily, but I’ve been maintaining for months consuming closer to 1600 and all my exercise and walking (tracked with a Polar HR monitor). So I wouldn’t recommend using the BMR recommendation as a hard and fast goal either.

Other than that, it’s still worth it. Just check your values against reality if you’re in between athlete mode’s requirements to pick the right one.

New update is awful - based on obesity ranges

This scale just lost most of its usability by the app shifting to reliance on obesity ranges. As a health coach I view this as a major disservice to users and no longer believe this to be a good product. I will no longer be recommending these scales to clients. If RENPHO wanted to offer options it would be one thing but this update just took this from being a clear leader to just like the others my colleagues and I dislike. I am disappointed.

Great Scale

I have been using this scale ever since I started my GLP. Love to watch my progress as it gives me an incentive to keep going.

Numbers may not be what I want

Numbers may not be what I want but sure seems accurate. Follow your trends. This scale is helping me on my weight loss journey.

Great app!

Well made app

Excellent Device

This scale has helped me to see the many aspects of what is happening in my journey to better health. There’s more going on than just the weight number and that is encouraging.
