Screen Frozen

Imagine paying membership for an app just to mirror your screen which does work but few seconds after using, it just freezes up.

Garbage

I paid for the pro version. Totally disappointing it keeps freezing on the TV, and dropping signal in the middle of a workout video I have to keep restarting it which drops my heart rate super disappointing. When having friends over to watch a video it keeps dropping off freezing. Highly recommend you find a better app. Totally regret buying this one wish I could get my money back.

FAQ

What does Replica do?

Replica allows you to mirror the screen of your iPhone or iPad to a variety of display devices, including smart TVs, streaming devices like Chromecast and Fire TV, and even computers with compatible browsers. It enables you to share presentations, photos, videos, and apps on a larger screen without requiring AirPlay.

What devices are compatible with Replica?

Replica supports mirroring to many smart televisions from brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony, as well as streaming devices such as Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV. It can also cast to any device running Apple Safari, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge, including Tesla's large screen (with MCU2 hardware).

Is Replica free to use?

The app offers a free trial and can be downloaded for free. It operates on a freemium model with in-app purchases, allowing users to access extended features or plans. A referral program is also available for extended free trials and discounted plans.

Will copyrighted content like Netflix work with Replica?

Some apps with copyrighted content, such as Apple TV, Fitness, Music, Netflix, or Prime, may not work when using screen mirroring via Replica. In these cases, a black screen will appear, which is a feature implemented by the content providers to protect their material, not a fault of Replica.

What are common use cases for Replica?

Common uses include presenting Keynote presentations on a large screen at work, sharing vacation photos with friends and family on a TV, watching home movies or web-based videos on a bigger display, and casting social media apps like Instagram or TikTok. It's also useful for showing messaging apps like Whatsapp or Telegram to a group.
