What's New in Rescue Alert
1.0.8
July 30, 2026
This is a big update for iPhone — it brings you everything from the last three releases. EVACUATIONS ARE CLEARER UNDER PRESSURE The evacuation dashboard has been rebuilt around the moment you actually use it. It now says EVACUATE NOW — on screen, in your alerts, and in push notifications — so there is never any doubt what is being asked. One calm status header replaces the competing banners, All Clear stays within reach instead of scrolling away, and the actions that reach everyone at once sit with your roster where you expect them. Volunteer progress still reads Evacuating once each person confirms they are moving, so you can see your team's real state at a glance. Teams can now register for a whole evacuation plan, and task counts match what the dashboard shows. ALERTS THAT REACH FURTHER Sharing a lost or at-risk animal now carries a full description — including colour — uses the animal's name, and reaches a wider audience. Every detail is labelled, the shared page reads as a proper card, and when an animal is found the post is retracted automatically. You also get your own link to the alert you created. HELP NEARBY Nearby help now shows rescue organisations that might be able to take an animal, registered ones first, with the phone one tap away — and always a 24-hour vet. LOST AND FOUND, GUIDED New guided help for wildlife and injured animals points you to the right kind of alert, and lost and found reports are now matched against each other. ORGANISATIONS Shelters and rescues can import an animal roster from a CSV no matter what the columns are called, review what was read before anything is added, fix any row that needs attention, and undo an import. Organisation profiles pick up logos and details from your website automatically. EVENTS Events can now be online as well as in person, with an audience you choose, and can repeat on a schedule. QUIETER AND MORE RELIABLE You stay signed in for up to a year. Notifications arrive in the app as well as on your lock screen. Location accuracy is improved, and crash reporting is more accurate. Confirmation messages now behave properly on iOS. Every language in the app has been fully translated, and the app tells you plainly when a newer version is available. Plus dozens of smaller fixes across My Alerts, animal rosters, organisation logos and evacuation plans.
