YOUR ACCOUNT, BETTER PROTECTED Signed-in devices. See every device signed in to your account, each named by what it actually is, and sign any of them out. Signing a device out now truly ends its session instead of leaving it working for days. Primary device. Make your phone the one device that can never be signed out remotely — not even by someone who knows your password. Moving primary status needs a code emailed to you. Sign-in alerts. You're notified whenever your account is signed in to from a device that isn't your primary one, so an unfamiliar sign-in doesn't go unnoticed. Change your phone number. Your number can be used to sign in, so changing it is now treated as seriously as changing your password: it takes your primary device, your password, and a code texted to the new number. Your old number and your email are both told when it happens. Two-factor authentication. Add an authenticator app to your account. Public or shared computers. Tick the box when signing in somewhere that isn't yours and the session ends automatically after about half a day. IN YOUR LANGUAGE Security emails and texts — new-device sign-ins, password reset codes, phone number changes, verification codes — now arrive in the language you use the app in, across all 23 languages, instead of always in English. FIXES • Tapping a notification opens the app again • Help opens again • Signing out no longer leaves you stranded, and no longer shows the previous account's information • "Sign out everywhere" no longer reports itself as someone else signing you out • The "verify your email" prompt stops reappearing once you've verified • A changed phone number shows immediately instead of reverting • Delete account and two-factor setup are no longer dead buttons • Changing your password no longer breaks the screen • Community and Events "new since you last looked" badges survive a restart • Optional legal name at sign-up for volunteers • Clearer wording throughout the account and security screens, and fewer technical error messages
