Harder to use now
I loved this app before recent updates to its display and layout. Because the letter/petition no longer displays the unique number-letter code or the author’s name prominently, it’s much harder to find the letters I trust and want to send, which are usually recommended by substack authors I trust. I used to send communications daily with the old interface, and now I rarely receive notifications. So my letters to my elected officials have decreased. Still a good tool but it was so much easier to use before. Based on these changes, I’ve decided to stop my paid subscription to it.

Thank you so much for making it easy to contact my reps! I would love to see the following added to the app: 1) The ability to see more campaigns 2) If I can see more campaigns, I’d love a filter to for which gov officials (gov, congress, scotus, etc) 3) The ability to see what I’ve already sent, either by looking at my text messages or by my making them as sent manually

A Feature I’d Like To See
Don’t get me wrong. As a hardcore resister raised antifascist by a WWII Eagle Squadron fighter pilot, I am glad glad glad that ResistBot is here. But when I check for new actions, it’s always the same things. I’m not finding any new organizers worth following this way. I would like to see a “refresh” button I could use to show me new actions from new organizers. That would make ResistBot d@mn near perfect.

This app is amazing and I use it almost every day!

For my fellow Spoonies looking for a way to get involved with resistance and activism, RESISTBOT is awesome!
It will connect you with petitions, read the whole letter being sent, get your required basic info, and send emails to YOUR representatives. This is the lowest spoon option I have found.
If you can’t call reps, do this! If you have the means, donate to support their mission!!

A few fixes and it’ll be perfect
This makes contacting our local officials to do the right thing SO much easier, especially with all the insanity going on with this administration. However, like so many have said in other reviews, can we PLEASE have a way to show which campaigns we’ve already signed (a check mark?) and perhaps a way to organize them better?

needs a few tweaks here and there but overall it’s fun to annoy these people ‘working for us’ and then taking more and more away from us.

Everything is a lot right now, so being able to engage with my representatives without having to work too hard is nice. We need to keep the pressure on them, and this app makes it simple. I just wish it was easier to tell which campaigns I’ve already done
First use great after that ridiculous
This app is a complete and utter mess, the first time I used it for worked perfect after that it just kept sending the same message to type in done DONE it must’ve sent it 25 or more times when I got frustrated and typed what an absolute mess the app was it sent that as my message. Before and if I ever use this thing again it needs to be fixed.

Foolishness
The “issues” are all product of the echo chamber. This app isn’t going to affect anything and is just another childish virtue-selfie. Civic engagement requires at least a basic understanding of complex issues. Expect the price of oat milk to be labeled a “constitutional crisis” here.
Very helpful
I use this app every day to stay on my reps. Needs a few tweaks: learn my preferences for how to Send and if I want to read it or just send. Also needs to show which ones I’ve already signed. And keep each letter up longer than a day or so. Thank you.
Falls short… by a lot
The app has a cute icon. That’s about the only positive. I love resist.bot but this is one of the worst apps ever released. There is no search or sort or filter or history or favorites for creators. You can’t even see your own petitions!

Love how easy this app is to use. Would really like to see the option of using marking that you’ve already sent a letter added. Honestly that’s the only (very minor) dislike.
Great at first…costs money now
For several months I had been using this app multiple times a week, and it used to let me send messages to my reps via email for free. Lately, however, it has been asking for me to buy coins to do that. Had I known I wouldn’t be able to continue this for free I may not have used it in the first place. Very frustrating. Please keep email free!

Needs indicator for already completed
Perfect EXCEPT my brain is fried from all this stress and after participating in a few campaigns (which literally took only about as much time as getting the app in the first place) I couldn’t remember which I had already done. Please put a check mark or something so I know which ones are new. Also there should be a way to delete campaigns that are moot, such as the one about the budget resolution.

This is an awesome way to stay engaged and keep pressure on our reps.
Between this and 5Calls I am glad I have a way to stay active in our democracy from my smartphone.
Great Idea, Needs Work
The campaigns in the application are often poorly written, and the application only shows the most recent or most popular campaigns. The application only will also only send an email one time to each senator.
I would like to be able to search more than just the most popular campaigns, and I also want to be able to spam my reps relentlessly with the same email, like they do us with their idiotic campaigning.

Must Download for Activists!
It’s easy to feel immobilized when every day feels like a blow. I started using Resistbot yesterday and I feel like I’m making my voice heard on key issues that are in front of my representatives right now. I typically don’t review or share apps, but I think this is an awesome tool that people are not using. I’ve started sharing about it on my social media accounts to get my community onto it. Great work!
