Photo AI Not Working
Great app and service I use all the time. Only complaint is that the take a photo to see if you collect feature does not work anymore- just come up as an error- good if you could fix so I don’t mistakenly try and recycle things with you
Great service helping me to do my bit
It has been my second pick up of soft clothes that my friend and I are in the process of sorting through from close spot parties and from our own wardrobes. And on this occasion, I added my dead pillows to the pick up which was fantastic because there is nothing worse than just throwing the stuff into the bin and thinking now it’s going to just cause problems. This is a really great service and the app is really easy to use. And the third pick up will be even easier because now I have figured out what to do and how to do it to make it easier for everyone.

Taking a photo
I know there’s lots of controversy about AI but it works well in this app to show me what can be recycled that’s not on the list.

Great app with little tweak
The app has been easy to use and I haven’t had any issues until today when I accidentally added the wrong photo and discovered that there is no delete photo function. Would be helpful to add this option as a just in case measure.
Photo identification not working
I love this app and the service ReSmart offer. I just updated and now the photo id function is not working. It brings up an error. I use this often so I don’t send things that can’t be recycled.
First collection
Very helpful collector who advised that a variety of other items we were planning to send for council pickup can also be ReSmarted. Woo hoo. 2nd collection booked !
A Great Service
I’ve been a fan of RecycleSmart(now ReSmart) since it started. It’s a fantastic service and takes a lot of unusual items to save from landfill. Coffee capsules, empty toothpaste tubes and cosmetic container items, kitchen ware, small appliances and larger ones (with notice) to name a few. The App is great and provides all the information you need.
Many local councils fund a 2 bag pick up per month. I would definitely recommend this service.

Takes wrong items, ignores emails
DON'T USE. They missed the obvious bags left out with the pick up sign on them and instead took a random bag off the shoe rack on our front porch. We have been waiting for almost 2 months for them to reply to our email requesting the return of our items. There is no phone number to ring and no responsibilitiy for the mistake they made or the property they stole.

Incredible AI Tool so Smart
The AI tool to identify if an item is collected for recycling is fantastic. I had so many not sure items and just took a picture and it named the item and said yes or no to being collected. Odd items I scanned which I wasn’t sure would come up still had an answer like asthma puffer/inhaler, medical ointment tubes, eye gel tubes.

Great app - super convenient
This service really helps me to get rid of all the items I don’t need (or don’t know how to dispose) sustainably! I don’t need to go to multiple locations to dispose of different items, they just do it for me

I don’t understand what people are talking about when they say you can’t change the pickup date in the app, I do it all the time! And complaining because they don’t pick up stuff because they can’t recycle is ludicrous. Reality is those who produce the goods in plastic should actually pay for it to be re-cycled, they would certainly lift their game if they were forced to. This is a great service, don’t listen to the whiners, if you can afford it do it!

No mobile phone
Can’t book a pickup as it insists on a mobile phone number. As less mobile people, we use our landline for all calls.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!
OMG!! What a fantastic initiative…the whole process has been so easy…we have reduced our consumption of plastics so it has taken the best part of 6 months to collect a bag full in a polystyrene box. The correspondence regarding collection was outstanding!! Honestly…putting my bags out for collection felt so good!! A proper dopamine hit!! Thank you!!!!

Highly recommended
RecycleSmart are by far the best and cheapest service to use to divert your waste from landfill. Using a regular rubbish disposal company will cost you an arm and a leg, use RecyleSmart instead- they recycle everything, charge next to nothing and are super friendly. Highly recommended.
