Thanks for using FrogID! We are always trying to make FrogID better and your feedback helps make that happen. This update addresses stability issues.

User reviews

This app Is useless

I definitely hear and see frogs but it never says it can hear a frog!

Doesn’t work except in Australia

This should not be top of my search list in US (and recommended to me by the internet!) when it doesn’t work here. It needs to be clearly stated that it doesn’t work outside its area.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! Our app settings are not intended for other countries and we are investigating why the FrogID app occasionally appears for overseas devices. We appreciate you letting us know!

Long wait for confirmation once submitted

I really love the app and have been using since 2018. However, the time between submitting a call and having it reviewed and confirmed can be several months. Even for species that are threatened or rare.

Very helpful

I love this app. I’ve used it as I’ve been traveling around and love hearing new frogs and adding them to my “gotcha” list.

Frog resources and citizen science

This app lets you record frog calls and gives you a selection to listen to and hopefully identify for yourself. You get to upload your recordings and an expert will identify the frog calls. It’s a fun app to use and you get to know your frog calls and their names. It’s a great activity for young and old.
