Can’t believe I found this in my 44th Year

I had memories of this game at junior school but couldn’t remember what it was called. Weirdly today I saw a blog and it all came back. Found the game on the App Store and got to the end…after the Witch got me a few times :-)

30-odd years later, finally finished it

Fond memories of playing this at primary school. At the age of 44 I finally made it to the end screen! A great nostalgia trip and the game still has a special something (probably the fear of the dreaded witch!)

The best retro experience you’ll have all day…

This port to iOS is excellent! It’s smooth and perfectly captures the colours and sounds of the original game. Would love to see Dragon World and Podd as part of this collection. 🥳

Wow

Just found out that my grandad made this game! It’s so cool that so many of you had played it.

Ah, the Nostalgia!

Every bit as good as it was on the BBC Micro and finally finished it after 35 years. All the things I loved (the music) and feared from before (that witch!). Fingers crossed for Flowers of Crystal and Dragon World.

Good ole days

This was great, took me back some years....

Awesome!

I remember playing this at first school when in year 2/3 (1983 ish) I cannot remember if I ever reached the end and I have never forgotten it. We use to play it on an enormous BBC computer which was the only one in school and was wheeled around on a large trolley! This is exactly as I remember it and just as annoying as it sends you back to the start when the witch gets you! Can't wait to share with my kids in the morning!

Rolling back the years!!

Absolutely love this game! I have thought about this game for years trying to remember what it's called! It's exactly as I remember it being! I've shared it on my Facebook too 👍

After 30 years i still hate that witch!

Granny's garden on ipad is just how you remember it. Magnificent! Here's to a new generation of Granny's Gardners.

Amazing!

Here it is the actual game that most of us got to play over lunchtimes at school. The game is a classic and still has the really annoying dragons. This version works flawlessly with an IPad. What are you waiting for?

Brilliant trip down memory lane

I remember playing this when I was about 6 at school (some 25+ years ago) and have always wanted to find it. Just like I remembered! Still a great little game too.

IOS 8 does not work :(

Please fix .....

No longer works with IOS 8!

Good version when it works but since iOS 8 stopped working. Update please.

Response from developer

Hi, Thank you for reporting a problem with iOS 8. I believe that the current version works with iOS 8. It definaetly works with iOS 11.3. Please give Retro Granny's Garden another go.

Good memories in 1980s

This adventure was brilliant with original of screens (better with blue bird launch the land than original). I was young at my junior school - I was always struck with between foods and dragons. Now I'm through to completed since I learnt from Monkey Island (it is available on App Store). Now I know how to beat the witch!

Athy

It certainly brings back memories. Playing this at school on the Vic 20. The game itself is quite good considering the time it came out. Also I remember the first password from back then, but not the others. It's great fun for nostalgia, and actually a good idea to let a 7/8 year old try it out. Let them see the building blocks of our time, and gosh it was slow, but then all in all we found it a great game.i give it a four because it's a classic plus when it was released it was probably one of the top quest games like there is today.

Do you want to enter? No. Yes you do.

A great trip down memory lane! App runs well, but obviously doesn't last long for the £2.99 price!
