About

Tend a Klamath lake back to health — then become the c'waam and swim home through the very water you healed. Return of the C'waam is a gentle, no-fail water game for young children. The c'waam — the Lost River sucker — is one of the first foods of the Klamath Tribes, and this is its journey home. TWO HALVES THAT ANSWER EACH OTHER • Tend — heal your stretch of the basin: cool the water, open the channels, bring back the shade and the reeds. • Return — swim home as the c'waam through the water you tended. The healthier the basin, the clearer and more alive the swim. LEARN BY PLAYING, NEVER BY QUIZ Discover the real ecology of the lake — the food web, the cold springs, the marsh — through play. A For-Grown-Ups page shows parents what their child is learning. MADE WITH CARE • No ads. No in-app purchases. No tracking. • By H.L. Delaney, an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes, through Basalt Sea Press. • Every fact kept to the public, documented story of Klamath water.

What's New in Return of the C'waam

1.1.0

The lake is something you tend now, not only something you swim through. Four hands-on ways to help a reach of the basin: cool the water, slow the flow off the farms, put shade back on the bank, and open a side channel. What you do to a reach changes what the c'waam meet when they swim it afterward, so the tending and the swimming are the same story. A journal that keeps what each cohort did, so you can look back at the basin you built rather than starting over blind. A For Grown-Ups page. The water is drawn the same way on the title screen and in the swim now, so the basin reads as one place instead of two. Still one price, paid once. No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking.
